mikihouse Spot on. The country has a poor attitude to the poor and needy, i should know, i am looking after an elderly Japanese relative, with a terrible disease, who receives literally no help from society.

Payments to pensioners and mentally ill and disabled have been cut.

Terrible situation. Where are the Japanophiles saying it was her own fault for being poor? How can a vulnerable lady of this age be made homeless? Japanese people don`t even care about these people, why is that? I cannot understand their attitude.
