How about if the other guy who witnessed this simply minded his own business. I can see if there was a person who had priority to sit there and being denied, but basically this guys was sticking his nose in someone else's business.
What's the differnce if the two guys were talking to each other, at the same tone? Would they be asked to be quiet?

@skipthesong: Excellent comment!
Funny how they take out the Social Security tax, saying it is for your future, but yet they can tell you how much they will give you and when you can get it.
I am glad he said this. For too long his party kept saying that those numbers were just "smoke and mirror" tactics from the Rep. I am not a high six figure earner, and I paid a lot of taxes last year, but anything that can save me $3K on my tax burden is a relief.
One good thing about the rest of the states that changed from Dem to Rep in the last elections, their state governments will be less inclined to raise their local taxes, except in CA. They normally go on the principle that if you Fed taxes are lowered, they somehow enact more state taxes to recoup the money that you are getting back.
My recommendation, lower taxes, and let's start cutting some of the spending that is unnecessary.

How do they know so much about her movies if they are not supposed to watch? How about this, if it offends you, don't watch it. If you have a family with minor children, tell them not to watch. Bt for the rest of the adults who may decide to face the wrath of Allah, let them watch and pay for their sins.
Grow up people!

@AuntyAmerican, that just proves my point. You will never hear Obama say anything like that. What the Dems have learned from the 2010 elections is that not all Dems are buying the far left brand of the Democratic party. Hillary was seen as someone that they could work with. Still a leftie but not as much as Obama. Now she has been discredited to leave the Dems to probably only back Obama in the primaries.
Just my speculations.

@AuntyAmerican just because you may feel tha the items disclosed aren't secret, the fact that someone has classified them is what matters. If they are marked Secret, and stored on the classified webservers, then they are just that. They have to be declassified either by an expiration date or some other authority that has decided to declassify it.
Some have said that Assange at least didn't print any names. Well, if someone can shut down his website, I am sure that they have a way of finding the "unsanitized" copies of information that he has, and someone will be able to sell it to the highest bidder (if he hasn't all ready).
I don't have that conclusion, but compared to Obama she is. That is what she would have counted on if she decided to run in 2012, that she wasn't as far out there as Obama. Now that pretty much is taken away, since if she did decide to run, this issue will be brought up. Obama has not been out there making strong statements about this, but you'd better believe that if she ran against him, this story would be brought back up to discredit her.

I heard a political commentator who is no fan of Hillary comment on this may have been an organized leak by the current administration to take her out of the running in the 2012 election. The breeches of security, and her having to go and apologize around the world makes her look like a failure, thus taking away from her the one strong point that she had against Obama, that she was a strong leader and capable of dealing with people and was more of a moderate.
Funny how the DHS (Depatment of Homeland Security) can shut down torrent websites over the weekend, but can't seem to keep state secrets from getting out.
Not sure I agree with the commentator on all those points, but you have to admit, this will make it harder for Hillary if she decides to run in 2012. I imagine that she will probably resign, not for this issue, but for something else down the road in order for her to try to regain some of her standing in a 2012 run.
Just my thoughts.

If that is the case, will he air out the dirty laundry of China, NK and other nations too? Or does he only have an ax to grind with the US?

@lesgrande, you should take a look at SuperLib's comments:
If NK is such an innocent party, then they should be more than willing to put out the information that shows they had no fault in that ship's sinking.
For those who say that the US is just bullying and being hipocritical by saying one thing and doing another, just take a look a few weeks ago about the Japan Coast Guard fellow who released the video of the fishing boat incident. Those were the property of Japan's government and was classified, and it was released. So I the fact that Japan was saying one thing and the tapes may have proved another is just the norm of how countries deal with each other.
I would like to see him do a data dump on what the PRC and NK have been doing. Yet he still keeps swinging for the "low hanging fruit" of bashing the US.

@AuntyAmerican: so then you are saying that NK is honorable since they will shell a neighboring county that it has signed a cease fire with, and also sink one of their ships, or do any of the other "border incidents" that have occured since 1953 as an honest broker in the world stage.
I also keep hearing about how NK is the "workers paradise." So if it is so great, and it truly will lead the way, why is it that you don't see people on the borders of NK trying to get in and break their immigration laws? I seem to see many a person trying to get into America.

@AuntyAmerican, if that is the case, then why did China make it known that countries should not send representatives to the Noble Prize ceremony for the jailed Chinese dissident being held?

@bigmouth, if the internal documents between domestic government agencies in China were let out, that would probably be more worse. Let China take over, a country that blocks web access to certain sites, and you seem to be comfortable with this?

Well at least the NYT is not afraid to print damaging information when the Dems are in charge. If this had been an Rep administration, this would have been trumpeted as a "major victory" for freedom of the press.
Not true, it gets pretty intense when they go over your past when you have to get your clearance renewed. The problem is that people who should be monitoring this get too complacent. On government computers, they can tell where you have been and what has been burned onto a file, so somewhere along the line someone dropped the ball.
The items that were marked as classified, the persons who leaked them should be prosecuted. When you get your clearance, you sign a statement that says you will not release items without permission. These persons broke the rule, and as such should be held accountable.

@Badsey, my mistake; the cease fire is still ongoing, you are correct. So technically, if South Korea were to retaliate, they would be well within their rights, and would not have a need to go to the UN. The US would also be justified in helping since that is part of the cease fire agreement.

I am not sure where you are going with this. But Sk didn't put the people there as shields, they were simply minding their own business as they ahve been doing since the war ended.
NK keeps making threats, but I am glad to see tha the US and SK went along with the war games. Having participted in these events, I can tell you that they are not about preparing to invade the north, but center around the defense of the south against north agression. They don't plan on invading the north, only pushing them back.
So for them to go ahead, this actually makes NK look a little weak. In the past, when his father did something, you normally saw the world back down in an attempt to keep the peace, well it looks like this time it didn't work. I guess getting promoted to 4 star general of the NK army is going to be a lot tougher for him.

I wonder do all those anti US base protestors in South Korea are still pushing for the bases to leave now?
I hope this thing cools down.

@gooddDonkey, I agree with you that there are plenty of attactions to see in Chicagoland. I have been to some of those places that you have mentioned. The city is not totally run into the ground, but it is not where it should be. With all of the attractions you mentioned, how about the public school system. Look at the graduation rates and how the students test.
As far as gun control goes, the city had some of the strictest measures, making it hard for law abiding citizens to have a gun to protect themselves, but yet it still is leading the nation in gun murders. That's not the fault of the NRA. There are laws on the books that prohibit criminals from having guns, but just like the other laws that they have broken, they have chosen to break this one also, and the end result is the people who by law are able to want to get a gun can't and the "bad guys" win.

@smithinjapan: Then why is it that a country as poor as Norht Korea is able to get a nuclear weapon. Also, Pakistan seems to be suplementing their defense spending based on the amount of money the US gives them in the war on terror, and they have quite a few nukes too (and guess what, they don't have oil either just like North Korea). And Iran is building their nuke program also.
So smithinjapan, since you seem to think that it is a good thing for the US to reduce their nukes, don't you think it would be good if Pakistan, India, North Korea give up theirs also?
My advice to you, read the treaty, get an understaning of how the US nuclear policy works, and find out what the Russians have been doing in regards to beefing up their capabilities, and then come back and make some statements, other than the old leftist chatter that you keep displaying.

@smithinjapan, So the US should not update their nuclear arsenal, but allow the Russians to do so? The reason why this treaty is good for Russia is that it allows them to draw down their arsenal (which is greater than the US), and then still have room to update their arsenal. Nor does this treaty mention the PRC and their weapons.

I wonder that too. Is it becuase people can't ease drop as well only listneing to one side of a conversation? And, from what I have seen here, many in Japan don't just go and "break the ice" by speaking to strangers, so why should they care if someone is speaking on the phone. As long as they are not loud and yelling, I don't think it should be a problem.

If it's drug crime, tell it to the family of the kid that got beaten while he was a bystander of a gang fight (it was on the news). I have family that lives in the Southside, and they are not involved in the drug trade, but they have to suffer the consequences (and don't give me that old line then they should move. How about actually getting these dirtbags off the streets, or letting law abiding citizens have the right to keep a gun).
But, if you are tough enough for the Windy City, more power to you. But I think they need to do a lot of street cleaning of crime in the city.
