I live in LA, but I didn't even try to submit my name to the memorial service "lottery". The reaction by some of the people who were selected to attend was shockingly inappropriate...as if they had won some kind of prize on a game show. I watched a few minutes of the live broadcast this morning on TV, and I was pleasantly surprised to see how respectful and subdued the attendees were throughout the service. I applaud them, but I still think Elizabeth Taylor had the right idea. Stay home and mourn in private.

"House" most popular? Really? I've tried watching it a few times, but it never did anything for me. I find it more annoying than entertaining (even though I've been a Hugh Laurie fan since "Blackadder" and "Jeeves and Wooster"). I'll take "Dexter," "30 Rock" and my "Seinfeld" DVDs over "House" any time!

It's actually meant to be a joke, and not a very good one. It's a stereotypical and rather racist way of saying that Clinton was a "player" by screwing around on his wife while in the White House...literally...and then denying it even after being caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Somehow that's supposed to be viewed as ghetto cool and a very "black" thing to do.
