    The solution to quieter highways is to incorporate used tires into the asphalt. This is done in Arizona. The old tires are cut up into tiny bits and mixed with the asphalt. The rubberized asphalt is very quiet, offers better traction and lasts twice as long as conventional asphalt. Its a great solution to the problem of reusing old tires as well.

    Why, if you were captain of a vessel, would you even think of ramming another vessel (8) eight times larger than yours? The Japanese claim that the SS vessels rammed the Nissan Maru is completely false, and oh, yeah, they have it all on HD video. Idiots.

    The Japanese officials call it a "whaling program", and a "whale hunt". They don'teven bother to call it "research" any more. I guess they finally figured out that no one, even the Japanese believe that lie anymore.

    The Japanese are the eco-terrorists. They are the ones bringing killing machines into the soverign territory of Australia. Sea Shepherd Australia is in charge of this operation, not Sea Shepherd United States. The US court has no authority over an Australian corporation acting on non-US registered ships in Australian waters. Paul Watson is not in charge and is no longer president of Sea Shepherd. Sea Shepherd Australia is NOT BASED IN THE US. Learn your facts before you speak.

    The Japanese are in violation of Australian laws in Australian territory. Why is it so hard for some idiots to figure this out? If Australian ships were hunting in Japanese waters, the Japanese navy would be all over them. The Australian government needs to stop fearing Japan and send their navy down there to stop the eco terrorism of their territory by Japan. So there.

    The Japanese are operating in Australian Territorial Waters, in a whale sanctuary established by Australia, in defiance of a court order from the Australian Federal Court. Does that sound "legal" to you?

    Mass industrialized whaling was something started in 1945 by General MacArthur. Its not cultural at all.

    The Japanese took money intended for tsunami victims, and used it for supporting their whaling fleet. Do you think people are going to donate and help, the next time there is a disaster in Japan?

    The meat they take, loaded with Mercury, ends up in freezers by the ton, because very few Japanese even like it, then they use it to feed school children.

    Now they want to tax the Japanese people even more to help keep this nonsense going. Does this sound smart to you? Really?

    Outta here: People are often quick to point out that some record temperature is caused by global warming (hot), or point out some record cold temperature as proof of its non-existence. Local events may be influenced by global warming, or not. Global warming, or climate change as it is now called effects the average worldwide temperature, and that is rising. What is predicted as a result is that local climates may see more radical temperatures, hot or cold. Some areas may see records broken more often. It predicts that weather will become more intense. We have seen examples of this all over the world, ie. hurricanes Irene and Sandy, both 100-year storms coming a year apart. Don't be too quick to dismiss global warming, its a scientific fact. If you choose not to believe in it, that doesn't make it go away.

    When is hunting whales in an established whale sanctuary legal? The Japanese walk all over the Australians on this issue. The Japanese are the eco-terrorists, killing whales. Sea Shepherd does not kill or hurt anyone. They are not terrorists, they are concerned citizens of the world that are willing to give up their own lives to protect the oceans. Lethal scientific whaling is nothing more than a disguise for commercial whaling. You know it, I know it, its completely dishonourable. Bad Japan!

    Japan is completely without honor when it comes to whaling. The Australian government should defend its territorial waters and the whale sanctuary it created. Japan is in violation of an Australian Federal Court order to stop illegal poaching in its waters.

    I will be sending in my check to Sea Shepherd Conservation Society today....
