MaboDofuIsSpicy I think they should make an agreement with Tokyo to send it back and have it burned here.

Since the Tsunami swept away everything before the nuclear power plant leaked, it can be taken care of anywhere. Also in the great country America..

Can any of you people answer me one question?

Who anyway came up with the idea of TPP? Was it the USA?? I would like to understand what could be the motivation behind all this crap..

I think that was a really stupid idea. Radiated rice from Yamagata? Maybe another case of family suicide?

JapanGal I do not think manual meant that he went down into the wheel well and and used a crank. How was it done?

I am not quite sure how Boeing is handling it, but referring to another major european airplane manufacturer you have a manual lever in the middle console of cockpit and you pull it out: - turn it once: the landing gear doors will open - 2nd turn the lock of the landing gear will be released - 3rd turn the landing gear drops due to its own weight and lock in place

    ..something like that.

CHAMADESep. 29, 2011 - 01:30AM JST As an American, I am not excited about the fact that 35% of this aircraft was made by Japanese subcontractors, when surely American vendors could have offered the same services and parts at the same rates and quality in this day and age of the high yen, when Americans need to be more broadly employed! I also doubt the wisdom of too much cooperation with potentially predatory foreign subcontactors in areas where US firms maintain present technological superiority and expertise. Keeping technologies to ourselves will assure the business comes to us.

I am not American, but think you should be glad, that the subcontractors were not chosen in China! Of course I also think it would be better to produce important products in the inventors country to support jobs, but you need to understand that is how it works: Boeing wants to sell their planes. Japan sais, ok we'll buy a lot from you and make all japanese airlines fly your crappy aircraft. But in return you should let us produce some parts as well. If not, then we'll buy from another competitor! Simple is that! In order to make big deals, you have those agreements. Give and take. Boeing is not the only example...

I was also angry about the stupidness of a huge European Aircraft company who built a plant in China. In a few years the technology will be completely stolen. But China is a huge customer - and also wants a piece of the cake. You can be happy my friend, that Boeing just outsourced to Japan!!

Well Laurie. I suppose it's just excellent marketing by plastering trains and buildings with Boeing Dreamliner commercial and never ending news on the TV.

It's not like the economy is booming here at the moment and we are all swimming in money. With increasing the tax that signifficantly, a even larger downturn of the economy will be triggered! I thought it is a common sense that if you have no money and can't even save up much, you think 3 times before purchasing. Why does the government not consider that fact? Further they announced tax increase plans already before the 3/11. To take this as a reason "we need to build up Tohoku" is just a very cheeky move.

Honestly the half of my income is already spent for my apartment, not to speak how much I need to pay additionally for food and transportation. (And I am not out partying on the weekend really and usually prepare bento at home!)

How can I save up for my health, retirement and future kids? And I am receiving an equal salary. Not to think about the people who are just doing baito or lower paid fulltime jobs.

What a crappy airplane. The paint design looks like a copy from the Airbus. I don't understand this never ending propaganda about it here. Hope I never need to fly with this machine..
