“Toyota expanded too rapidly, and that’s always a risk,” Has nothing to do with quality control. I'd say poor management = lack of quality.

"haven't found the hostess bars more open to gaijin" Their business is communication. If you dont speak Japanese you cannot do business with them.

"If you start giving out free money, people take advantage and everybody suffers" Or you can just save all the homeless from Bill Gates' one year's salary. I dont think Bill would suffer though. Which is more important: the system or the lives of people? If the system is the more important than why we care about places like Haiti? We'll we suffer if we give out free money to Haiti?

In Japan good media jobs are all landed on connection not on one's true ability.

"Sadly, Japan has been slow to get behind the idea of food banking, which has become commonplace in the West."

Let's name the child. Not Japan but the Japanese government. These guys cannot even keep track of how much pension they owe to individuals. You need private NPOs for that too I guess;)

Well I guess it is difficult in the US to do as men go even to the toilet by car. Should the US use crowded trains like Japan, you'd have the same ratio of groping as Japan. Being a foreigner I feel ashamed sometimes by this comparissions.

Posted in: Why is groping so prevalent on trains in Japan? Anyone care to hazard a guess as to the psychological reasons on why men grope?

Thanks to the corrupt political system in the US, a nation of about 5 million (Israel) is being in the lime light for the past 40-50 years for all the wrong reasons... Why is it in the interest of 300 million people to take the side of 5 million against the rest of the middle east? Puzzling!

Look where we are. This guy took to new levels of making Japan one of the poorest country. Yes that's right. Look how the quality of life of the average Japanese has turned out to be by business only friendly policies.

Anyone wants Koizumi back, wants a further deteoriation of life style.

With all this issues in society in general I wonder why she is the front page news? What are the special attributes of this person to make the news from all the other ppl who do get busted on drugs? There is something of a histeric magnitude of idol worshiping in Japan I still cannot grasp. If she is well connected to get on the media suddenly she is a great importance to us? How does her fate impact the quality of my life? Why should I follow news about her?

Northlondon said it all. And as a wise man said sometime ago, for every action there is a reaction;)

The reaction part is illegal, but the action part deserves also a "closer examination":)

There you go, another victimized female! The picture tells it all.

When will ladies take responsibility for their own explicit sexual projections?

"These changes will actually force men to be more responsible at home. "

Why marry a guy whom you need to force to change? Why women always want to change the guy to their own likeing? We are not a piece of furniture you need to match with the color of the rest of the house.

"My husband now comes home early and just lounges around. He nags about the meal but won’t help with the housekeeping. It’s becoming unbearable.”

For God's sake. Send this woman to work and then let's see how much she appreciates working at home too after coming home from work. I really dispise complaining spauses who rely on their husbands daily work but stay at home all day washing dishes. Go get a job at Jonathan's, be on equal terms with your husband...then start to share homework...

    Maria "Man as Victim" nonsense"

Do you really seriously think that only women are victim in this society? You really need to get out of that box you put yourself in. I have been victimized by women to whom I was really kind way too often.
