Mai Inoue is a bit young to play Saori in my opinion, makes Tony look like a cradle snatcher. I'd like to see the movie but hope that Oguri and Laszlo have enough control to keep annoying stereotypical stuff out of the script. If it is true to the manga…

Yes, that she ran until she thought the stimulant was out of her system was kind of obvious. Took a while to come out and say it though.

One false alarm and you think everyone will ignore the warnings? Okay... I don't know about you but I certainly won't be ignoring any warnings that an earthquake is imminent, that would be stupid.

What tipping system? In Japan and in the country I come from there is no obligation to tip in restaurants or taxis.

Good at what they do? They almost always have to be given directions, even to fairly nearby locations, and they are some of the most aggressive drivers here. The times I have nearly been hit by a car in Japan have all but one been near misses with taxis- one…

first of all, it's the guy's home. He can get drunk there if he wants to.

That's true, but his wife called the police because he started to get violent, which is quite a different thing from just getting drunk. Are you saying the police shouldn't have responded?

7,000 seems to be the number of new cases, but there's quite a large discrepancy between that number and the 110,000 given below- does that mean there are 110,000 people in Japan who currently have flu? That seems hard to believe. Did JT add an extra zero?

I have heard differently about the infectiousness of this flu. Measles, for example (which there are breakouts of almost every year in Japan, without any major panics ensuing), is about 5 times as infectious as H1N1 flu- each person with this flu will apparently infect an average of two others,…

The reaction from the authorities in New Zealand this winter was to ask people to stay home and recover as they would with the normal flu, unless they started to have breathing difficulties. Little else, and it worked- new cases are now well down. People I know who got it…
