Really i wouldnt say that they are trying anything like that... they just use them as a fasion fad... most of the time people wear different shaped irises on their contacts like the snake eyes or the Sasuke Sharingan shape of Naruto... so how the hell can you say those are like westerners eyes??

I cant help but notice that each one is wearing something bland... something that i suppose i would never wear haha... although the guy with the suit on the one 2nd from left looks ok, its just his beard that doesnt cut it lol... and the left one i think he needs to iron his shirt and jacket. Ohh god i just cant bear it lol they all look very bleak the one in the middle looks like she has 29 cats... sorry if this offended anyone that does like it.

How sad indeed... when i was bullied in school (primary school) i just asked the kid why he bullied me and asked if he wanted to be friends... were still friends to this day forward... that was about 12 years ago.
More people need to start standing up to bullies especially in Japan, where i hear of cases of suicide due to bullying. Its horrible how most parents dont take matters into their hands a little more, its their child for god sake, their flesh and blood. Do what ever it takes to find the root of cause following them, speaking to them, bribing them to find out the cause of distress anything works aslong as you sort it out. (except murdering the cause and doing anything that would be against the law lol)
