Calling an elderly person as "OLD" is discrimination against humanity. The as you call 'US Black President' were he should be called first 'African American President.' We are now in civilized age not back in Stone Age. Here is a mistake made by one disabled driver and the whole lots of comments are against aged person. Respect should be shown towards elderly instead being called with all sorts of expressions. Yes I agree perhaps age should be imposed for elderly drivers.

Elderly people should have eyes testing before they get permit to drive. Many countries had adapted this and it is working. Doesn't Japan have such ACT? Further on serious disabled driver shouldn't be driving car at all. Mind you elderly people are not 'HOONS' and they don't intend to harm others. You all have to look both ways. What you call: 'Old people' are from generations before you, if wasn't for them you wouldn't be walking on your soil. Some respect please for elderly. Accident could happen to anyone. 'YOUNG PEOPLE+DRIVERS LICENSE+ALCOHOL+DRUGS+HOONS = DISASTER.

He was using his bike like they do in China. Even so we should respect cyclists because they are human the same as we are. It doesn't matter who you hit with vehicle, you should stop and try to assist victim. He could perhaps be alive today if suspect driver did stop on the scene and called for help. Arrogance is no excuse on the roads. I hope that this driver get term in jail to learn his lesson, and other drivers to think twice, especially if they are loaded with alcohol or drugs. We must not discriminate victims even if they are not from Japan. There is mention that he was 'trainee.' Is this in cycling?

Even mountains are now wat5ching crimes. It isn't funny, but you wouldn't expect to hear such story right in mountains village. It is strange story about this victim; someone must be visiting her via back door. There could be many reasons to strangle her. Perhaps she wasn't good girl and her boyfriend got upset and lost his marbles.

Similar story was published not long ago. These two elderly have certainly lost the plot. Is there any work around to keep them occupied? Perhaps they should be 'boxing' trainers. What punishment can you give to such man in his age? Is there any room in mental hospital for cleaning job? I would say that this attack was planned.

The same story all over again! Didn't people of Japan learned yet, that carrying money you are heading into the most dangerous situation. A security armed guards should be employed to collect money from all business people for transfer to bank. To me this is stupidity and is an issue in Japan that should be examined by the lawmakers. 'Use your brains not your kidneys.'

This is what booze will do to you if you are hooked on it. Such issue is well known 'La Merde' around the world. There is no solution for it and is the same as 'Drugs Phobia.' This elderly lady should instead pack herself and run away, perhaps to her own married children if she has any. If she was abused in such circumstances before she should report the matter to some sort of alcohol prevention centre.

I don't believe to the statistics as mentioned. Crimes a daily listed in JT, and they aren't any lower figures. Did they take into the account all reported crimes? It would be good idea to publish police arrests, including the ones that they let them go like young girl that killed her father published today. Are court cases included with these statistics? How many cases are still on the lane to be prosecuted say at least waiting for few years? Wake up Japan give us some real facts and figures.
