You really can't take one market and say they do great here so they will do great in another area. Cars and airplanes are like apple and oranges. Selling airplanes around the world is a harder business than selling cars since you have a smaller customer pool.

See my notes above, the governor of Tokyo only really has control of Toe I bus and subways, the city doesn't control JR or the other trains which are private for profit companies. NYC subway is not a profitable private company and has huge debts. TOEI is government operated and has huge debts, which is why Tokyo Metro doesn't want to merge with it.

Some folks don't understand, the Tokyo government only controls TOEI Subway lines and TOEI bus/ TOEI is the Tokyo Metropolitan Transportation Bureau. The do not control Tokyo Metro, which is a private company, JR, Seibu etc are all private companies, it isn't good business to keep going twenty four hours, not many cities besides NYC have 24 hour service. Paris, London, Washington DC etc close in the late hours. NYC subway is operated by the city and is not a private comapanywhich is why it carries heavy debt, breakdowns and constant fare increases . Tokyo Government TOEI Lines carry heavy debt which is one reason why Tokyo Metro is reluctant to merge with them.

It was noticed missing four days after the trip, but there's no indication (at least in the report here) that it was actually stolen or just misplaced somewhere.

Some posters have a bit of a negative tone, but I can tell you I'd rather fly on All Nippon because the service of most Japanese Airlines is superior to say, Delta or American Airlines.

Technically speaking the station was already built and opened a few years ago only serving the Fukutoshin subway line and thru servies to the Tobu Line, so it isn't exactly a new open, what changed was that the Toyoko line began thru operations which lead to an increasing number of people using that particular station. If one is not careful enough or doesn't know enough in reading the article they would think that the station just opened a few days ago.

Have you been to a military base before? Not everyone on a military base is a "military person", there are large numbers of civilians on base. Just like everyone in a hospital isn't a doctor, not everyone in a police station is a police officer, nor everyone in an airport a pilot. It is narrow minded to say that "it has to be taken by a military person".

If you have one of the registered cards maybe, if you have an unregistered card (the regular base card) then there's no way for "them" to know who exactly owns or is using the card.

It's designed more for people getting emails, surfing the web etc while underground. Cell services is a lot more than just talking on the phone. Most Japanese don't even do that even on surface lines.

These convictions also follow these dirtbags their entire life as well, every job application, every trip (if they are even allowed into any country in the future with criminal records), every bank loan etc they ever attempt to get in the future, it will follow them. Dirtbags!

Seriously what could You have done you walk up to a car and it suddenly acellerates you arent the flash.. if that were possible there would be a reduction in policevchases worldwide. keep an openmind before jumping on the keystone cop bandwagon.

I agree to be fair it seems it would of been extremely hard for the officer to stop this incident. of course some posters will say shoot the the tires or do some other hollywood tv bs but that isnt the real world. In real life not on your hollywood imanination this type of incident would of been extremly hard to have stop.

Maybe the fact that they just pulled him over and he was still sitting in the car? and just attempted to begin to ask him questions when he did it had something to do with it? You know police work isn't like what you see in the movies.

Barriers WILL NOT reduce the suicide rate in Japan. It will not prevent someone who has decided to kill themselves from going to another station, train company, railway crossing, bridge etc etc.
Mental health services and education is the key.
Have women only cars stopped gropers in Japan? Nope. It's a bandage, not a solution.
