Depends on the show. However with the camera crew present it makes people behave in ways I think they would not behave under normal circumstances.

I actually like the Amazing Race, however I think the show can be a million times better and they come up with stupid rules each year. Also notice that 99% of the time if you aren't a good looking person in a bikini you won't be on the Amazing Race. Sure they do have a couple of teams that are "normal" but for the most part, hot looking in a bikini or you're not going to be on that show.

Multitasking and printing! The wave of the future...

Seriously though, if someone wanted a portable computer, I recommend getting a netbook instead. THREE USB ports on your regular netbook...which means you can use ANY usb printer not just HP wireless ones.

The best. Aside from Suicides, trains are usually ON TIME in Japan. You're lucky to have a train on time following a real timetable in the part of America I am from. Also I find it to be more userfriendly in that, dual announcements, LCD screens that show station transfers etc.

The best part, "virtually" zero beggers/homeless people and husslers at Japanese train stations. I cannot tell you how many times when visiting home in America, some homeless person or crackhead hassling for money in the transit systems there.

In the States, you lock yourself in the car, two seconds later your windshield is busted and you are tazed.

So it depends on how you look at it.

This young lady fractured her skull. She was not wearing a helmet? Does Japan have a helmet law for motorcycle? If she had a helmet on, maybe the injuries might not have been severe.

WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH ANYTHING?

If you tie a rope across the street at night, what do you expect to happen? Nothing?

So if she was wearing a helmet it's "all ok?"

Talk about putting spin into the story.

Folks it's also important to take a step back and remember that no one is right or wrong, everyone has different ideas. At the end of the day Tuesday passed an no one is dead, nothing blew up, the sun rose. Dems screw up, Republicans screw up, it goes back and forth all the freaking time. The fact is most Americans are also angry at the Republicans to, but are angrier right now at the Democrats, they just keep voting in new people but keep getting the same ole results.

I love it every 2 or so years, people going back and forth at each other like they actually care and if they actually believe the government will change. For Washington it will be "business as usual". Tea Partiers less then 50% of them won elections last night not a sweeping out, Democrats retrain the Senate, the House is Republican. Same ole s***t two years from now...

Ah election season where people actually pretend to really care about politics and talk about they know stuff. Then right after it's business as usual, Washington as usual, until the next election cycle. Democrats, republicans, independents, it's all the same.

The end of the day the Democrats will still control the Senate by a slight polarity and lose the house. What this means? Nothing. Same ole Washington business controlled by corporations and special interests.

Seriously the world is not going to change overnight. It's the same old stuff every single election cycle, it's nothing new. Republicans come in, people don't like em so the Democracts come in, then it's the same old cycle over again. Clinton lost the congress in 1994 and he still gets higher approval ratings today more then Bush.

You cannot under estimate bears. One angry bear can easily take on 3-4 unarmed humans.

Jeeze this isn't the first time in history that a meeting has been barred from public view. Meetings of grand scales happen all the time in private. It's open to the media but not the general public. Again all for some bottlenose dolphins which are NOT endangered.

It's the same ole stuff, Republicans come in screw up, dems com in screw up, and the cycle begins all over again. A bunch of talking heads on TV on both sides. Republicans will come in, run the country into the ground, so next round the democrats come in and run it into the ground again, so the public can change their minds once again.

Invasion of privacy? When I book my airplane ticket, I got to give my full name, birth date, address, credit card, I got to show a passport/ID at the airport...Then it's either get felt up by a security person or walk through the scanner. I'd walk through the scanner if it means I don't have to take off my sweater, jacket, etc every time I fly.

It said they were detained for blocking the route, nothing said they can't protest as well. As a side note I think i've been to that HUB pub before.

Actually it is not uncommon even in America. If a bear were to be found in a school, the police would confine it but not shoot it either (depending on the circumstances), the police would either call Animal control unit, or call the local wild life experts to come in and handle the situation depending on how dangerous it is. The police would not shoot the bear unless it was absolutely necessarily.

I really don't see any problem here in the police calling the local hunters club (or whatever it is) because those people are the most likely to have dealt with bears and wild animals, rather then the local koban cop.

Yeah the majority of sudden unintended acceleration cases are due to driver error. Just like the 1980's Audi Unintended acceleration cases which was blown way out of proportion by the media.
