The leftist ALBA bloc of nations - including Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Nicaragua and some Caribbean nations - said they will not attend future summits without Cuba’s presence.

    Good riddance.

These "stand your ground" laws exist because so many people have been convicted of murder in the U.S. when acting in self defense. If we are going to be forced to live with animals like Trayvon Martin, we at least deserve the civil right of self defense. The moment that little beast threw the first punch, Zimmerman had the right to shoot back in self defense.

Interesting. Tyson continues to declare his innocence in the rape, but recently this legal scholar has questioned why George Zimmerman hasn't been executed yet (without a trial and with much of the evidence in his favor).

Looks like someone is trying to lock in her man. Perhaps there is fear of the 7-year-itch.

Poor Brad Pitt. He's tied his fate to a woman who is only going to get crazier with age.

The irony here is the Secret Service secures prostitutes (or at least used to) for international diplomats from places like Saudi Arabia in order to keep them safe when visiting the United States.

The Secret Service agents shouldn't be associating with any civilians in a country where their job is to protect the President. The 12-year-old shining shoes could be collecting information for narco-terrorists or communist rebels, making friends with such a person puts the mission at risk.

Both China and Russia help renter the Security Council moot and pointless. Without teeth, none of its efforts have a hope of working.

Let's see, how many times has the United States vetoed UN resolutions to protect Israel from facing justice for killing its own people? The United States has done more to make the Security Council pointless than any of the other permanent members.

The mother claims the cries for help came from her son. Another witness claims Zimmerman was the one calling for help while being beaten by Martin. There is an audio recording and forensic acoustics will be able to prove whether the cries were Zimmerman's. Lesson for young males in states with conceal carry laws: remember you live in a state with conceal carry before you assault someone. That someone you assault could be armed and is allowed to shoot in self defense.

"China is always an instant away from chaos."

No kidding. That is why so many upper-middle class women now try to give birth to their kids in Canada or the USA; so they will have citizenship and therefore an escape route the next time China goes into major turmoil. China will always be China. The only question now is does Bo get executed alongside his wife?

Ignoring the many technical limitations of solar power, does solar even make sense in a country where open land is scarce? How large is this farm in square meters?

The entire media rushed to judgement that this was a racist shooting, so it shouldn't be a surprise they would twist the evidence to fit their narrative. They did the same thing with the Columbine shooting, when they portrayed the killers as neo-nazi racists, when they were actually anti-racists (one was Jewish), who hated jocks (athletes). The media kept focusing on the one black victim of the shooting to support their case, even though they knew this victim was an athlete and the targets had been athletes and other bullies at the school. All of this information on the motive was available to the media just by reading their online postings and using a little logic. But the media wanted to portray this as a racist crime.

So, the media's portrayal of this as a racist incident and the manipulation of the evidence isn't the act of a single, rogue producer. It is the worldview and agenda of the media. Another example, the Duke lacrosse rape scandal.

Bottom line, the producer is a scapegoat and NBC is going to be sued for big money.

You have it backward, my friend. United State's liberal gun laws protect the citizens from serial killers, gangs and other threats to society. For example, there is a criminal technique called 'home invasion' where a group of young males will kick down a door and 'invade' the home to assault and rob the residents. Having a firearm in the house is the only sure way to ward off such an attack. If you had any experience with the real United States, you would be aware of this. The high availability of firearms in the United States is also why Americans don't become paralyzed by race riots the way the Europeans do. If the riot spills out of the ghettos, Americans are comfortable in the knowledge they can protect themselves. In Europe, the citizen has to hope a butter knife will scare off the animals.

Not really clear what the real crime here is. Perhaps Bout's real crime was undercutting the prices of one of America's allies that is also well known for selling arms to anyone and on any side of a conflict, including America's enemies. Speculation.

Still, where does the United States get the jurisdiction? By that matter, where in the hell does the International Criminal Court in the Hague get its jurisdiction?

Once again, the United States has made another foreign policy misstep. They expended all of their political capital on the trickery that got Gaddafi overthrown, when they really cared more about toppling Assad. Now people are wise to their tricks and won't cooperate. Goes to show the Democrats are just as inept as the Republicans at getting their way in the Middle East.

Nice to see Japan building up momentum for the Olympics this summer. I hope they can keep it going to gold in that horrid city of London. The article mentions no Marta, but I don't think Japan had Sawa on the field either.

When will women get equality on the sports arena? When people who watch sports (mostly men) want to see women play sports that men play better. Legislating equality (Title 9) will only get you so far. After that point, it is up to the consumer in a free society. And this is still a free society.

Victims were mostly women in their 20's and 30's, including the ones who were shot but survived. I sort of figured as much. None of the victims had personally teased him, so they were victims of his deranged mental baggage. It sort of reminds me of several incidents in China where an individual male would go into a schoolyard or playground and start stabbing as many children as possible. I'm sure the FBI does have a profile for this sort of person.

California has the death penalty, but they seldom enforce the death sentences. The FBI profilers will have many years to pick at this guy's brain and refine the profile, the way they have done with convicted serial killers.

As for One L. Goh, if he couldn't handle being teased in a class room by a bunch of girls and women, he is in for a rude shock when he enters the racially charged, dog-eat-dog world of the California penal system.

Goh was a 43-year-old Korean immigrant, so I don't think we can blame this attack on American culture or video games. More likely, he couldn't handle being teased by a bunch of young women (a generation younger than himself), so it may have been some stupid "face" thing.

And I agree, keep race out of it. Four or five incidents involving Asian males (one who was an al Qaeda agent) doesn't change the FBI statistics that show Asians are the least violent of the ethnic groups in the United States, including caucasians.

However, Saudi Arabia and Qatar are calling for arming the anti-Assad movement.

Clearly, it is the Saudis who are sending the foreign fighters and the weapons to topple Assad. So I have a question for Madam Clinton. When is the State Department going to demand 'democracy' in Saudi Arabia? When is Saudi Arabia going to be required to extend the same human rights and freedoms to women that Syria has long granted to its women? Why is the United States trying to overthrow a westernized Assad, yet leaving the atavistic, medieval Saudi royal family in power?
