Yes, America is desperately in need of a revolution of the Mao Zedong-type, with all members of the bourgeoisie either executed or dispatched to labor camps to shovel pig manure for a couple of decades. After a few more years of "benefits" under the vested interests of its two-party "democracy," life for the average person will be intolerable enough to make it happen.

Maybe it's better to just let the phones keep ringing. Think how upset a calling customer will be if some silly young newbie takes the call and asks, "Ima, doko"?

Neverknow2, you're right. I saw several vernacular news sources saying passengers in the car were "speaking in a foreign language." Of course it could have been Kagoshima dialect. I suppose the details will come out soon enough.

No he won't. To acquire a "toshiyorikabu" Asashoryu must first obtain Japanese nationality, and that is unlikely as he is said to have presidential aspirations in Mongolia. If he even becomes president of Mongolia, I wonder which country he'll invade. And apologise afterwards, saying he did it because he was drunk.

The REAL reason Bush decided to go after Saddam is that the former had a tizzy fit when the Iraq delegation at the UN in New York refused to lower its flag to half staff the day after 9/11. It was such a blow to Bush's vanity that he could not resist embarking on an act of folly that has led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands. Iraq is fated to become a failed state run by religious fanatics and terroritsts --- in other words, another Afghanistan. Created by Cheney-Haliburton and Blackwater at US taxpayers' expense.

If Japan can't find a better way than this to harness its human resources it deserves to go down the drain.

It was a fluke of history that two major countries happened to be concurrently led by a pair of religious nuts who also believed in the righteousness of neo-colonialism.

America's "failure" began with the invasion of Iraq in March 2003. No country can conduct two wars simultaneously without a tax increase and military conscription. Usama bin Laden and a few of his turbaned colleagues actually came up with a strategy to cause the giant to expire through financial exsanguination brought on by his own blindness, political ignorance and stupidity. All those high-tech weapons at America's disposal have been brought to a dead halt by improvised explosive devices and jihadists who seem to be able to intimidate the entire US population by poking their heads out of caves and shouting "Boo!" It would be funny if it weren't so tragic.

I watch YouTube clips of the series and can't for the life of me figure out what made it so appealing. The women all all so prissy in their bonnets. The sexiest character in the series was probably Hop Sing (Victor Sen Yung), the Chinese handyman, who wore a pigtail down to his waist.
