the Yen has weakened suddenly possibly because the Japanese government has been talking about using quantitative easing policies to help cash flow in the domestic economy..this results in more government debt which generally diminishes the perception of the currencies safety and thus causes it to be sold. However life is never that simple and there are a mirriad other influences on currencies. There has been talk of the carry trade starting over again, and also foreign investors are selling Japanese holdings last month 60 billion dollars of assets flowed out of Japan(net). There may be an outside chance of a devaluation of the yen as an emergency measure to shore up employment in Japan as the economy is heavily export dependent. But only time will tell where the yen will go.. up or down you may as well toss a coin (not a 1 yen coin they are way too fiddly)

xample1-are you suggesting that a woman finds it acceptable to be groped as long as the groper is "good looking"?your post is slightly difficult to follow with its dreamworld/reality confusion.

It was not only the french that tried to hide this incident, the only reason it made the uk press was because a member of the public spotted the vanguard returning to port and saw the scrapes and dents along its side and realized that something news worthy must have occurred.

there are scum in the uk,no question, and there were plenty of scum who used to live there but now live elsewhere, but the majority of these na'e do wells come from the old mining communities which were ,with one vindictive swipe of the blue pen, obliterated by the root cause of this current crime wave..Margaret Thatcher. The lifestyle in these places broke down, no longer did son follow father down the pit..where they worked so hard there was never any energy left for crime. Now these places are a hotbed of drug abuse and the related crime committed to fuel the addiction. Thatcher you are the true scum..as exemplified perfectly by the fruit of your own loins. It was she who propounded the greed is good mantra"there is no such thing as society" which has recently imploded. To see her idiot ex press secretary (i can never accept that my lord and mistress ever made a mistake for it was i who assisted her in her actions)attempting to be at a loss for an explanation is simply pathetic. Re education..cambodia style? You think its cool to mock those with speech impediments?is that a measure of the good taste and morally acceptable standards you are advocating.. My start to raising the level of behaviour in the UK..1.Ban the tabloid press...

this could be the start of a great record breaking dynasty,if they train their daughter to become a parent early enough and maintain the effort over forthcoming decades, then by the time this boy is 78 he could be the head of a family with 6 living generations..now that would be something to boast about.

Despite deliberately undercutting other countries coperate tax rates to encourage the tax dodgers into their economy the "Celtic Tiger" developed a serious limp and now requires europe to carry it around.Anyone seriously holding Ireland up as an economic example to be followed needs to examine the fine print on their medication from time to time,"best not taken with alcohol"

Yes by the strict "off topic"rules that JT like to enforce the reference to China seems dangerously liberal.Surely baby milk and baby teething syrup are completely different topics. I wonder if there is anybody in Nigeria that has earned an honest days pay for an honest days labour, fraud appears to be the national sport.

greed was the cause of the housing bubble..the symptom of the fallout of the bubbles explosion is the credit crunch..caused by the "recalculation" of lending risk policy...what allowed this astonishing about face in acceptable lending criteria ?yet again greed. However having said that..the negative effect of the credit crunch is being magnified by the medias unfettered use of hyperbole and predictive news reporting and confirmation bias..which has frightened consumers into the worst of actions..halting spending which hammers demand which in turn results in production cuts and job loses..this is then reported back confirming peoples worst fears and the feedback loop accelerates..happily the same thing that caused the problem in the first place, greed, will eventually solve it..as the price of properties and stocks become so low as to tempt the loosening of purse strings again...this will be the start of the next economic up cycle..which as surely as night follows day will again end in a bubble(feedback loop in the other direction) in some other "investment" sector which just as surely will go bang again..don't overly fret about it is just the result of the human psyche.

There is a world of difference between fuel oil and petrol..petrol is extremely flammable and explosive in vapour form..liquid fuel oil is quite difficult to light even with a match.Something else that differentiates me from these people is common sense.
