even if this plane hit the water "belly first" that knowledge does not give you any insight into what the attitude of the plane was just prior to impact..it may have been tumbling end over end, rolling just pulled out of a nose dive etc so extrapolating the impact attitude back up to 35,000 feet is probably a waste of time.

hmm..i think we will ignore the parts about stainless steel being more brittle and less flexible than high carbon steel too.. These Japanese knives are made from a sandwich of high carbon steel in the middle and tougher/less brittle/more flexible steel on the outsides..it is the forming of this sandwich and its subsequent shaping into a knife(or sword) where the skill in the procedure is required. If you look closely at the blade of a Japanese hand made knife you will see something that looks like a mountain scene along its length this is the junction between the two metals that has been exposed in the sharpening process..called the hamon. High carbon steel can be sharpened to the finest edge but would snap under moderate flexing as it is so brittle so the blade is strengthened by the tougher metal on either side to making a useful tool.

if they have detected the signals and the fact that the signals can be heard underwater for a distance of 2km, is accurate, then if they do not locate these boxes i will be more suprised than you would be if they do.

children get fat because they eat too much and their parents have not educated them about what a healthy diet constitutes, not because they have been "targeted" by Mcdonalds.I have never seen anyone dragged into a macdonalds against their will..if you can't moderate your own calorie intake get used to being fat.

Obama could encourage the iranians to rise up and overthrow their oppressors ..then withdraw that offer later and stand back as they are all slaughtered..that's the proven cowardly approach.

nothing predetermines events, all outcomes can be altered right down to the final second,action/consequence or inaction/consequence... Fate is used by the congenitally lazy to explain events conveniently..when generally events are more likely to be explained accurately inconveniently. Personal fate is alterable, as all smokers who have kicked the life shortening habit understand, fatalists believe that their dying day is predetermined so it won't matter if they smoke or not..Karma,if anything is much more closely aligned to the 'action consequence theory' than the 'everything is predetermined' theory.

its not scientific of course but from facial expressions this woman wears,i would not believe anything she said. The pair of them have no alibi..they were with each other doing something illegal(classic attempt to be believed by admitting to a lesser crime perpetrated elsewhere) However these assumptions hardly make their guilt watertight..i predict a lengthy trial with a not guilty verdict as the facts get progressively muddied by the defense team. They should be being tried together, a much better chance of breaking their story down would have existed.

Fate..bah humbug..she didn't die on the plane because she was not on the plane, she died on the road because the driver failed to keep the car under control and hit something coming the other way.. Bad timekeeping missed the flight, bad driving hit the truck.

Most Westerners(unless they travel alone) lack the subtlety required to use and preserve mixed sex bathing. In their enjoyment of it they destroy it.
