"Some 215,000 Allied soldiers, and roughly as many Germans, were killed or wounded during D-Day" After reading this and trying to find out some figures i think JT may want to edit this copy as it is factually inaccurate. On D-Day ,that is 6th June 1944, allied fatalities were at the most3,000-5,000 and wounded maybe 10,000 tops..high figures and more accurate but maybe less "impact" than the 215,000 killed or wounded figure JT decided to use..i think, JT, you may have got the figure confused with the total casualty figures for the "battle of normandy" june 6th - sept 1st 1944.. You would do better to retrain your moderators as proof readers.

satsuki is shrub (not tree) aka evergreen azalea and is the most popular species for bonsai in Japan, there are many colours available, the explanation may well have included reference to its shape(not random..but clipped specifically to hint at a natural growing environment..root over rock, windswept, tree on rock or as in this case informal upright),its preferred growing medium (acidic) its requirement for semi shade and its age ,judging from the "trunk" possibly 70 years or more.Feeding and clipping regime..pot style and watering methods may also have lengthened the explanation given about this "tree"

"215,000 Killed or wounded"..1 killed 214,999 wounded? or 214,999 killed and 1 wounded or take a wild guess somewhere in between depending on your mood..or doesn't the distinction matter..bone idle journalism.

"good idea" make them floatable..its more like one of the worst design flaws of modern times has been revealed by this tragedy..hopefully they can find them..they managed to retrieve artifacts from the titanic, and these recorders have "pingers" attached which should provide directional location.

Inkarob..i take it you have chosen the steroid free route to muscular perfection, you did not specify directly. Currently i have an arm that is recovering from having a nurse stick a needle in a vein, she stuck it through the vein and into the bicep tendon(elbow end) underneath which is now inflamed, the hole in the reverse of the vein continued to leak for 4 days after the test, filling the tissues with blood. All perforating treatments should be undertaken only after the risks are understood.

Do any of his web profiles mention he started his business career defrauding the UK Customs and revenue and was convicted of tax fraud and fined a large amount,it was the need to pay off this fine (or go to jail if he failed)that he has subsequently confessed provided the impetus for his business expansion. He has also tried ballooning across the atlantic /round the world held the blue ribbon for the fastest transatlantic crossing by a passenger boat amongst other attempts to die young.

where did all these settlers used to call home before they emigrated back to their new found(homeland) subsidized by the taxpayers of the USA. Take your pick but probably russia. Its no use talking to these stiff necks just drag them out. This is just the start, happily Israel will be forced ,eventually, to vacate 95% of the occupied territories, unless the "expand israellat any cost" party get re-elected in the states that is.

Maybe she was telling the truth, honesty where sexual activity is concerned helps the fight against aids more than covering up the truth whether unpalatable or embarrassing.

there's another difference in Japan, they don't allow morons to own guns. You said you were in favour of offing people for certain crimes, rape paedophilia, murder, perhaps this man believed the same and executed the perpetrator of some crime himself then as he had killed felt the need to execute himself also. As he is now dead we will never know for sure, perhaps that's the reason the akihabara knife man was arrested to try and understand why he had done such a terrible thing.

A country(in this case NK) is being told by another country(in this case US) that it is not permitted to develop the weapons that the US itself deems absolutely essential to its own security/prosperity.."we need them and are allowed them but sorry, you can't have them" NK has every right to feel slightly aggrieved by this glaring double standard(not withstanding how i may feel about the US,are you from the GWB school of intelligence "either with us or against us?" Japan may indeed feel very threatened by a nuclear NK but this feeling is so high because and only because it was attacked by the US with atomic weapons in the past..get it? Superlib..send me your address i'll buy some crayons and deliver then to you, though why you can't use a pen is interesting,is it a phobia? Grafton..so we ignore the facts that don't support your theory and cherry pick the ones that do,and you talk of flawed reasoning. I am no friend of dictatorships whether benign or malignant but i can understand how rules and their arbitrary application to one country/community whilst others ,for one reason or another, consider themselves immune from the self same law,and indeed on occasion are helped to break these laws by the same authority that enforces them elsewhere, can lead to frustrations boarding on the crazed.
