No police officer I know do any "thankless tasks" they are all thanked in the traditional way at the end of the month with money into their bank accounts and pension funds..generous money. Personally i am a friend of the police..but that's with the assumption all Police are straight. There is nothing worse in life than a bent policeman.

nikkei still 60 times over valued..cobblers mate..it may be overvalued but its nothing like that..the nikkei is still overvalued by western market measures,but it is not a western market..by historical standards it is looking at its best value in decades.However it may well sink lower in the short term.

i'm afraid you are wrong there are plenty who want to revist the past.gerry adams and his ilk demonstrated where terrorism gets you if you are persistent..right into the first ministers office..all the way to the top..so the encouragement is there for these murdering scumbags.Hopefully as it is post 9/11 and the "rules" have changed these terrorists will very shortly face their own end in a hail of bullets,that's the demotivation they require guaranteed death. there is an outside chance of islamic fundamentalism trying to whip up ill feeling in Ulster again as part of their wider down with the west campaign. Watch the house prices in Ulster return to long term trend valuations. Sympathies to the relatives of the victims.

this pair did a book called "the japanese spa" i suppose this is the reprint..anyway in it they review notable rotenburo around Japan and the prices are not restricted to the high end..Tsuruno-yu onsen in Akita has a 3 page coverage.and the rooms start there from 8,000 yen (2007 prices)..this place is definetly worth a visit if you like a Traditional, almost medieval, Ryokan experience.
