Hyperinflation here we come. In the near future ten thousand yen bills will be the new wallpaper and it will take you a wheelbarrow to buy one item.

Just a truck. But seriously, that was a funny earthquake. There weren't any multiple aftershocks immediatley afterwards, like twenty. Just two aftershocks after two hours?

You know in a normal year Japan accounts for about 20 percent of the world's earthquakes of magnitude 6 or greater, and every year there are up to 2,000 quakes that can be felt by people. 2011 was a catastrophic year for earthquakes. I think it's safe to say the people are fed up with energy from nuclear reactors. There's no such thing as quake-proofing a nuclear reactor. I hope no one ever forgets those last words from TEPCO from the Kashiwaki Plant July 2007 "ensuring the people's safety is of utmost importance" We're past the anxiety attack!

C'mon people. There's really no news here for us survivors up north. Just remember, during an earthquake go underneath a safe place. Shut up and ride it out. The worst thing to do is panic. Then walk outside, if your not already out. Sorry if I'm spoiling the fun here.

I've been a fan of Sendai since they were called Brummel Sendai. They should change the team name again to Sendai Earthquakes like the San Jose Earthquakes in California, USA. We will, we will rock you! Great win for the city of Sendai.

I remembered watching this youtube live. After Naoto Kan and Masataka Shimizu finished responding to the questions from the Japanese parliament, both walked out of the chamber into a hallway farside. This part was not shown on the youtube video. Naoto Kan went first then Masataka Shimuza right behind him. I remember in slow motion Masataka putting his right hand on Naoto's left shoulder and patting on it. It was saying to me, 'Thanks for the favor'

Mother nature, the mother of all whistleblowers, took care of business. The government of Japan had their chances from past whistleblowers.
No more cover-ups. No more scandals. No more hiding defects. You can not squelch mother nature. This article is about management gone bad and the entire industry got involved in the cover-ups from the government down.

I want a politician to fight for my rights. I don't want radiation imposed involuntarily on me. This radiation coming from Fukushima Daiichi Power Plant are human-generated doses. Hey Noda, how would you feel if I punched you in the nose?

If I had to choose one person he would have to be Shojiro Masuura, ex-chairman of Japans Nuclear Safety Commission. He looked the other way and only that other way. Those kind of people are responsible for this mess.

The average salary of a radiation therapist working in the United States is $56,500 per year. I'd go on strike if I were getting 8000yen a day.

Blame it on the academics.
There's a second picture on this article. One visitor looking at exhibits showing graphic pictures of decapitated Chinese. I think that's the Museum of the War of Chinese People's Resistance Against Japanese Agression. It receives around 300,000 visitors annually, including some 10,000 Japanese.

What happened to those routinely formal summits, not the informal twenty minute talks, between Japan and China? Back in 2001? Oh yeah, that was when Koizumi started going to Yasukuni Shrine.
Anyways, there's a great article back in 2005 about what is still happening now.

Communism is dead. Nationalism, nurtured by the Chinese Government, keeps the Chinese citizens together and, right now, Japan is the country to whip. China has gone nationalistic because of the many riots in China. You could possibly guess that there are so many protests this week alone in China that this news comes up in February? The Japanese troops took over Nanking on December 13th, 1937, seveny-five years ago this year. Expect more hate from China to Japan to fill the vacuum left by communism's weakening grip.

Typical Tepco meetings. "Everyone is doing a great job. Profits are up. Since there are no unusual events in the utility's operational diaries that the inspectors can find, we'll be all right. Don't worry about the safety problems, shutdowns, and cover-ups. They can't touch us."
