    Japan would attack of NK. But Japan not do it. That situations is very strange.

    In 2002, North Korea admitted to kidnapping 13 Japanese in the 1970s and 1980s to teach its spies about the Japanese language and culture.

    That is full delirium. I can not believe it. I sure that real reason are different.

    LNG carrying ships would be much less expensive.

    That is impossible. Because for produce LNG you need many energy. Also process of convert LNG too gaz need energy too. Also while you transport LNG you lose some part of gaz in atmosphere.

    Ask the Ukraine and some European countries if this is a good idea.

    Now they are buy gaz from Gazprom. That is real fact. Also Germany now get gaz from pipeline.

    A gas pipeline could be built to Hokkaido but then taken by ship to other parts of the country.

    That is not effective.

    I have to agree. If I was sourcing energy from Russia I would want a second source as well. It's difficult to trust Putin.

    ...right atop a major fault line that is still rattling every other week. How the hell do they intend to make it earthquake-proof? Made of rubber? Or bamboo?

    How work water supply in Tokyo? I suppose pipeline can be like it. That is technical problem.

    Yea but Russia controls the switch and the price/quantity. Once Japan is dependent on these supplies there will be trouble.

    You are not right. Because technology of pipeline can be effective if seller and buyer are discipline. Another investment in pipeline can not be effective. But liquefied gas that is really switch on/off. That is settings of technology. No one can not change it fact.

    Gazprom recommended pipeline. Because that company need stable market. Also Gazprom had build pipeline to Germany in Baltic sea and to Turkey in Black sea. That was very difficult but it really work.

    If our Russian amigos promise not to cut off the gas supplies every time they have an argument with Japan over those silly islands up north, I think it may be a good idea, but please remember how the Ukraine and some parts of Western Europe were held hostage to Russian gas when they were arguing about prices etc..in the dead of winter!

    Ukraine stealing gas, and Ukraine is recognized. Ukraine delaying the time of negotiation before the new year, specifically. Ukraine did not want to pay for gas as much, how many pays Germany. We have no possibility to be sponsors of Ukraine and other countries.

    I sure that missile-detecting drone can't be effective. Why would drone? Why don't analog of SBIRS?

    I sure that Japan can build one satellite. That is enough for detect attack from China. But i not sure that China planing attack of Japan.

    That drons and SBIRS can not help to Japan for solve Senkaku problem. Because China is the biggest partner of Japan and USA.

    But if Japan need it for detect attack from NK so that is so funny! Because that is means that Japan like lose own money like for Aegis.

    Maybe Japan is the only reason to have diplomatic relations with Russia it is the Kuriles. If it were not for the problem of Smoking, Japan would have refused from the diplomatic relations with Russia.

    Japan was not condemn own war criminals. That is result of that. Now China use own nationalists for frighten of Japan and own neighbors. China need get Senkaku without military incidents. Because China need oil, gaz, fish. Also China need presentation of own power but China not need military incidents because else neighbors would need get a-bomb for security from China. May be NK can sell it on auction. Where is USA military force? Japan pay for it!
