I'd just say most young people (and even older people) don't have a huge repetoire of recipes, but can cook simple stuff. And I would dare say that is true of any country you go to. Not many people are cordon bleu (is that the correct word?) chefs.

I just wish they would review the current whaling laws, completely ban whaling in the Antarctic and allow Japan to whale nearer to their home waters. I think that would make everyone happy, Japanese and Australians. The only people unhappy would be the greenies.
