even though one may feel that someone really should be doing something about this finally, unless there is this sort of initiative it's all gone by the morrow.

ethical and culturological considerations aside, the basic issue here is that supposed right to free speech of a dubious, fringe group is allowed to infringe on freedom of theaters to decide whether or not to show the movie and public right to information and freedom to decide themselves whether to see the flick or not.
i strongly feel that this sort of thing need to be outlawed and even more strongly suspect that in letter it might be so. coercion and threats have no place in civilized discourse and if the laws that are presumably there are not enforced we can be sure that one by one, more of these theaters will be forced to "reconsider".
as long as this is tolerated anyone can be the next victim, for whatever irrational reason some group of thugs chose to dislike you for!

personally, i find quite a few titles that just might happen to be worth of further investigation. surprisingly enough, i know. but how about these:
・ Weird Verdicts- Book about the weirdest verdicts actually rendered around the world
・ An Alternative Dictionary of Foreign Languages - Hilarious collection of foreign-language phrases that sound like Japanese
・ The World’s Subcultures - Collection of little-known, underground subcultures around the world
・ Ban English: Unknown Facts about Japan and the U.S. during WWII (it seems this ban on english is still in force doesn't it)
・ Americans Who Became Japanese Soldiers
and a few others as well. it has been said, but most of the titles do give one the impression of catalogs of some sort rather than fiction which is more readily associated with the word book it seems.

Citing internal BP documents, the New York Times reported on Sunday that engineers expressed concern as early as June 2009 about the well casing used in the Deepwater Horizon operation. A report by a BP engineer that month warned that the casing could collapse under the high pressure at the depths BP was drilling. “This would certainly be a worst-case scenario,” Mark E. Hafle, a senior drilling engineer at BP, wrote in the report. “However, I have seen it happen so know it can occur.” According to the Times, “The company went ahead with the casing, but only after getting special permission from BP colleagues because it violated the company’s safety policies and design standards. The internal reports do not explain why the company allowed for an exception.” The Times goes on to report, “In April of this year, BP engineers concluded that the casing was ‘unlikely to be a successful cement job,’ according to a document, referring to how the casing would be sealed to prevent gases from escaping up the well.” The document also concluded that the casing was unlikely to fulfill regulatory requirements from the MMS.

if it indeed turns into a revolution i will care far more whether it will succeed in bringing long lasting and irreversible improvement in quality of life, kindness and justice in social relations and advancement in humanity's morals as every revolution promises than how soon or peaceful it ends, or how much damage it causes along the way...

nationalise all the financial institutions and put them under transparent democratic control (that is of and for the society at large). finish once and for all with the dark ages notion of profit and base the world economies on real needs of civilisation. replace present parliamentary dictatorship of the elites with more direct involvement of broad layers of society at informed decision making on day to day basis (rather than casting random ballots every 4 years)
enjoy the fruits of civilised harmonious world for the rest of history...

In fact, by all accounts the bomb (which included a kind of fertilizer that is nonexplosive), as well as the method used to deliver it, bore the hallmarks of extreme amateurism, strongly suggesting that the individual responsible was not someone who had received professional training. As with all such cases, questions remain about the real motive and authorship of the attempted terrorist act. Information about the suspect and his connections has only begun to surface. "A father of two who became a naturalized citizen one year ago after marrying a US citizen, Shahzad earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering and completed his MBA, but was apparently without a job or money and had lost his family’s home through foreclosure." One can only speculate as to whether these difficult personal conditions, which confront millions of Americans, played a role in pushing Shahzad toward a desperate act.

the things are spinning but it's difficult to say as yet is it revolution (a progressive movement) or devolution. squabble for power, that much is undeniable.
as for investments, just be sure you're betting on the winners. that's what investing is all about, anyhow. gamble in a zero sum game

basically this admits that the whole depression is artificially created with clear intention of enriching chosen few by defrauding whoever buys the scheme. however, we all know the results, too big to fail will just keep getting bigger (and thus more infallible) and the risks will be pushed again on non-suspecting public who will keep paying through their noses. but for how long? and what happens when (not if) the red line is crossed? well i for one am looking forward to it, it cant get any worse anyway
