Goodguy, tell that to Saito at Waseda U. He and Tanaka iof Rakuten were both highly prized coming out of high school. Tanaka went for the money, and now has maturity issues on the mound (just like Matsuzaka in Boston). Saito has done little else except win at Waseda, and he's gettign an education for free.

This cat will end up the same way as Matsuzaka and Tanaka. Flashy, streaky, and inconsistent as a pitcher, and despite his great stuff, will have severe, major issues when things don't go his way on the mound...

Agree, Sarge, but I still say the students at the jr/sr. high school in which I teach are prettier than these....

He ought to go to College first, instead of jumping to the pros. If he goes to college, he'll mature more naturally. Saito, the pitcher for Waseda, is already more mature than Tanaka for Rakuten, and barring injury, he wil be the best pitcher in JPBL in the very near future. And I agree, if he had gone to the USA and entered the minors for a few years, he would have matured far better than he will in the Japan Leagues. The reason why Matsuzaka and Tanaka blow up whenb they get in to jams is because they're still immature.

He's a crybaby, in my opinion, ever since he threw his bat down in the WBC, and stalked off after a called third strike, then got tossed out of the game. This is just further proof that the man has some issues. He can't seem to handle the fact that a rookie is getting more PT, so, rather than man up, get better, get healed, and get rested here in Japan, and go back and try to do better and be better, he's "taking his ball and going home." Good riddance, I say. I was happy to see him go four years ago, but his little tantrum during the WBC made me lose all respect for him. Whichever team he goes to, just be mindful that the man is a primadonna....

Okay, so when do we hear from Gov. Ishihara about how foreigners are to blame for Tokyo's rising crime rate and Japan's problems? After all, if the perp in this crime "spoke Chinese", it must mean the honorable Governor will make a statement sooner or later....

LoveUSA - Beyobnce's beauty isn't natural. I've seen Brazilians and other Latins whose natural beauty blows her out of the water. Her dancing is marginal, her songs so-so, and her looks are too "made-up". I have high school students who dance better than her, have heard numerous other female vocalists who sing better than she can, and, again, her beauty seems more made for a camera than for real life...

Agree, stealth_one - the gymnist(?) girl who spoke looked like she was reading form a teleprompter, or had spent weeks memorizing her little speech: hardly natural. That turned me off of tokyo aklmost as much as seeing Gov. Ishihara up there trying to be cordial to all the foreigners around him....

    Almost.....

Thinks it pretty-much a waste of space to see al of these posts on who was worse, Noriko or Chris....and those who say that Chris somehow deserved this are really blind to the facts that he had already paid through the nose in alimony to Noriko, who agreed not to take the children out of the country, then broke her word. If she was so desperate to get back to Japan, why didn't she leave, come back here, and agree -- after all, she was awarded nearly a million US Dollars -- to give custody to Chris, with the proviso that she be allowed regular visits? She certainly could have afforded the tickets. I'm not so sure, too, that Chris was all that out-of-bounds by asking for a divorce in the USA, where, in Japan, he'd have nop rights, and wouldn't have been given custody, or even visitation rights, had the divorce taken place here in Japan. It was rather shrewd for him to ask for a divorcei n the States, though.

But, again, all this aside, it is the children who are suffering the most between two knuckleheads for parents. Yes, Christ shoulnd't have slept around on his wife (but then again, we have no idea why that was happening, either, do we? Could Noriko have been holding out on him, driving him into the arms of another woman?), but Noriko shoujldn7t have broken her word. Who's worse? Who cares? It is their children that are taking the brunt of the punishment. Children never win in a divorce...especially an ugly one like this....

Whomever is to blame for being a poor spouse, it is terrible that such a thing can happen, where a mother or father can snatch children away form the country of the other parent, and be spirited away to Japan where there is no international jurisdiction nor recourse for the foreign parent, especially if it is a foreign man married to a Japanese woman. The real losers here are the children....take that back, the real losers are those in the Japanese government who perpetuate this. The tragedy is the suffering of the children.
