I like how these chumps just keep on winning..........in Japan. They kinda' remind me of Japan's Women's Volleyball Team: the V-ball ladies qualified for the `08 Olympics by playing all of their qualifying matches in Japan....but then when they played in Beijing, finished in 12th place. Same deal for these chumps. When they start traveling to other places to "defend" their "titles", and keep them, then I'll be convinced. As it is, they rarely if ever leave Japan to defend, and they fight pretty-much nobodies. Carsuke, again, when they start actually fighting contenders away form home and winning, then I'll give them some due. Until then, same-ol, same-ol....

Because, Wasabi67, in the USA, it smacks of "sexism". Too bad, really: I think that a miniskirt police force would do well over here...

At least her mother persuaded her to do what is right.

Why am I not surprised to see Naoto Kan as the New Prime Minister, instead of his predecessor, Hatoyama? To be fair, I pretty much knew Hatoyama would be O-U-T inside of a year, but I didn't expect to see Kan as the PM, but Ozawa. At any rate, I get the impression that the DPJ is losing popularity in Japan....?

He looks like a puppet on strings....literally. At least President Obama seems to be his own man, and tries to lead. Hatoyama? He embarrasses himself every time he goes into debate against the opposition....

Well said, smithinjapan, except I wuldn't have said "fools" but "tools", which is exactly what the J-media are: a bunch of tools for the government to make Japan look better, and everywhere else less than the best.
Presto245 - I echo another postor's question: if Asashoryu really DID strike someone in a drunken rampage, where is he? Why aren't we hearign his side of things? You can charge Asa for being a liar all you want, but it is pretty strange that the man Asa allegedly hit is nowhere to be found. Put up or shut up, as one of my former american football coaches used to say. If Asa really did hit someone, where is his mug? Where is his story? In a court case, both sides are heard. Where is Asa's accuser? Put up or shut up. Prove Asa a liar, if he realyl is one. Innocent until proven guilty....
