Well it DOES seem newsworthy, doesn't it? Ryo Ishikawa headlines the sports pages every time he finishes 147th in a golf tournament...

No idea what happened in this particular accident, but it's usually the fault of the cyclists. Of all the accidents (and near accidents) I see on the roads, I'd say 9 times out of 10 it is carelessness on the part of the cyclists. Ironically, the drivers are usually liable for the mere fact that their vehicles are larger.

So the company exaggerated the quality of its product. No big news there.
I get the impression that there are a lot of people in America who wake up each morning thinking "Who can I sue today?"
Stop being so damn petty and get on with your lives.

I'm no economist so I don't really know if this is what Japan really needs.
What I do know is that it will take Japan 5 TIMES as long as the rest of the world to decide what it needs to do. Perhaps this is the underlying problem.

It's sad that many women have that attitude towards their husbands. I used to like her.
If my wife said that in public, I know what I'd be doing with her carrot...

Great effort to get that far.
I often hear Japanese people refer to "physical" differences as a kind of justification for lack of success on the international stage. While it often gives them a nice "excuse" to fall back on, this nurtures an inferiority complex that, in my opinion, is the main cause of their underachievement.

I assume you don't watch many major sporting events on J-TV then, because this is the norm.
I agree, that performance was terrible. But, again, filling these slots with artists that the major agencies are trying to promote, regardless of talent, is the norm.
The positive side is that it leaves enough time for toilet breaks and drink refills, AND, I hope you all noticed that there was ENGLISH commentary for the game, too!

The best part of the night was when Messi totally blew off the "presenters" (Sanma and his comedy crew) with a 15 second interview! I hate the way these sporting events are presented in Japan as "entertainment" to attract more viewers.

I think it's pretty obvious why someone would be offended if they were actually a real fan and humbly asked the guy for his autograph and they got that in return.
As for why there is no mention of who Kumi Koda is, I assume the writer assumed that most readers of this news site would have heard the name of one of the most popular popular and biggest selling pop stars in Japan over the last 10 years. She usually gets a mention on this website about once a week, too...

I don't think anyone on here, including you, would be willing to face an attempted murder charge to vent your anger.
"A little anger" is natural. Advocating an eye fo an eye punishment in the 21st century is primitive.

I agree with Mirai, this was very arrogant of him. Can you imagine your kid asking his favorite baseball player for an autograph and being treated like that?
Either show your fans the respect they deserve, or just say no. I don't think this is deserving of any kind of punishment, but this guy is an a#*hole in my eyes now...

@Yubaru, don't you think that's a tad primitive?

will.i.am is one of the most talented producers, arrangers and rappers around now. I'm not a huge rap fan, but I know a bit about music in general, and he has more talent than all of you haters here on JT combined. He is both hip and articulate.
So what can you all do??
