Is this for real? Or are they just slogans from a 70's anti-drug educational video?

She puts on a great show, too. Certainly no diva, but she can hold a tune, great dancer and yes, very hot.

@nisegaijin, I like Rogen, too, but don't you think that's going a bit far? "Disurbing levels of ignorance?" C'mon, he's not Michael Jackson!
Because when this promotion appears on those crappy afternoon wide shows, most people will tune out if they don't see someone they recognise. Have you ever wondered why variety programs here have a little square in the corner of the screen to show the "talents" when non-studio footage is being shown? Basically, same reason.

@Kichigai, I fail to see what is "hilarious" about the data/facts I have provided you. Would you care to enlighten us? If you have the time to post (obviously you do), why not add something worthwhile to the discussion instead of filling the thread with sarcasm and making fun of other posters by pretending that you're intelligent and above us? Or is that your thing?
Your posts, particularly the first one, insinuated that you hadn't. I assume the poster that had his comment removed saw it that way, too.

@KaptainKichigai,
I never said this was important news. I said that she was an influential figure in Japanese culture/society, hence, SHE was important, not the story.
I'm sure she will, too. Just ask the 20 million females between the ages 10 and 35 who want to be like her.
You've been living in Japan for 8 years and you've never heard of Ayumi Hamasaki. Now I know who I'm dealing with.
Your sarcasm and arrogance do not bother me.
Again, I wasn't talking about this particular story. Not once did I refer to it. If you were so intellectually superior than the rest of us, I'm sure you would have grasped that.

@KaptainKichigai, unsurprisingly you missed my point. I will put it a little more simple for you.
I meant it is embarrassing to post on a Japanese news/entertainment website "Who is Hamasaki Ayumi?" It's like asking MTV.com to tell you who Janet Jackson is.
While I am not a fan, I feel I should let you know how "important" she is. She is the biggest selling solo artist of all time in Asia, and the 7th biggest selling female artist IN THE WORLD - EVER. Also, she was chosen by TIME magazine the MOST INFLUENTIAL woman in Asia. I think that means she has a lot of influence in our society, hence, making her "important".
If you have any interest in Japan (I assume you do seeing you are here), I strongly suggest you include her among the "important" people who have shaped modern Japanese culture.
Oh yeah, if there is anyone you on your list of important people you think we should all be aware of, don't hesitate to fill us in.

Oh God KaptainKichigai, don't embarrass yourself like that.
Ayumi Hamasaki has been the biggest superstar in Japanese music for over 10 years. And she is a fashion icon throughout Japan and Asia. Naturally, if someone like that marries, it's going to be news on a Japanese news website.
How about a google search before you post a comment like that?

Buy an apartment in Japan only if you are prepared to live in it yourself for the next 30 years. Otherwise you will lose a lot of money or make close to nothing from your "investment."
Property with land is another story. It can be profitable, but you need a lot of local knowledge and some luck. Always remember, if there is an obvious profit to be made on a property in the short/mid-term, it won't be for sale to YOU in the first place.
