If the fishing industry can't make money they should abandon it and grow vegetables or rice instead. I really hope the government doesn't subsidise petrol for them. That would be really dumb; propping up a dying industry.

The phrase 'Becky, the talent' is one of the greatest oxymorons in the history of humanity. I think she's my least favourite celebrity in the world.

Maybe pedophilia specifically is not caused by celibacy but priests want to have sex with someone/anyone so they choose the people who are most vulnerable/easily available, namely young boys. So pedophilia by priests is indirectly caused by celibacy.

I don't believe hunting whales actually is part of Japanese culture. Yes, small communities had been hunting whales for centuries before WWII but there had never been large scale commercial whaling before then. So large scale commercial whaling cannot be said to be part of Japan's culture.
I wonder why…

Of course the money is obscene but lots of things are obscene. Advocating a maximum wage or higher taxes on the rich is akin to advocating socialism (and we don't want that, do we?).
