A new race for supremacy - fastest computer a useful race now that the space race has proven useless, fastest car a folly and biggest SUV's foolhardy. God help us get China to start a Clean Air race to match their clean reactor Thorium systems and get the U.S. hooked on that instead of the fastest planes to kill us all?

Farm wastes, manures, humanures, human excrement, sewage) all make methane. Methane stores in standard propane bottles. Methane fuels cars already? Going to methanol might impose a cost that simply is not worth the trouble?

India holds the largest known reserves of Thorium - Will the Japanese reactors be able to accommodate this fuel? If not: How will they ever compete with the Chinese reactors that do and at 99% efficiency? Debut for Chinese Thorium LFTR styled reactors is 2017 - you see you-tube that makes this declaration? Who can guarantee a supply of Uranium for the enrichment process for conventional reactors? Possibly only an American influenced Canada?

Choking hard right now but horse Shiite does that to me. If we are Uber Rich, greedy corporatists seeking only fast ROI are in charge, and we see only from their perspective - then and only then - "throwing part of your population under the bus" so that the other part may prosper becomes a method of choice.
On the other hand: A democratically elected, People voted, not corporate money pressure lobbyist elected government, bent on creation a better society for human existence is in power, the greedy ROI worship agenda will fall to second place and Societies wants and needs will come to the front.
Canada has a healthy "mix" of these components - both end in disaster, if not moderated by each other in equal proportions.

Ubuntu - switched to Ubuntu when windows 98 was popular, but only for personal reasons (financial). my most recent computer came with window installed - and it was promptly removed - took up far too much space, was obviously slower, and pablum programs were infuriatingly frustrating. Prefer LibreOffice to OpenOffice, Huge catalogue of free software is delightful, an even larger amount of Open Source software from the net and even some very inexpensive software for Ubuntu is great. Many governments have moved to Ubuntu - for convenience sake - you can tailor, modify, adapt, Open Source yourself to any desired performance. I love it because it is virus free, never stalls or breaks down, and for me at least, has complete simple easy to understand direct forthwith help. Huge number of net based information also available, even U-tube videos.

Oh ! My ! How the Great Corporate American Propaganda Whore's sirens wail ! Last Quarter, China passed the U.S. in trade. China is months away from successful large scale Pebble Bed Reactor opening, China has mastered the Thorium molten salts technology and has already set forth on building same, by 2017. In the U.S., Feds - a private, secret, bankster, international gangster organization prints 85 Billions of U.S. dollars a month to keep that economy from bankruptcy, The divide: rich to poor in the U.S. has reached astronomical proportions - and even Canada, once her largest trading partner now counts China as her largest trading partner. Western Powers shaken and over-shadowed now by China's stronger advances. Since the 'Nixon Shock of 1977' the day the corporate vulture replaced the proud Eagle, the day the corpocracy replaced the Capitalist Democracy in the U.S.A., economic downward spiral, paper money depreciation, ever expanding gap between rich and poor, and loss of personal freedoms have been the hallmarks. Even Canadians fear hungry assault rifle armed mobs coming here to rob our common people to relieve their extreme poverty - already our Game Wardens catching them pillaging our wildlife resources, freezing it to return to the U.S. for food. You Google You see. not all well in the Disneyland nation, not well at all.

Very carefully, and right under the U.S. MIC's (Military Industrial Complex) nose, a gradual slipping into the Greater Pan Eurasian Fold, a warmer, richer place than alignment with the current ruling U.S. corpocracy - since 1977 Nixon Shock ( you Google, you see) the Capitalist Democracy the world admired and trusted, replaced with a crooked corpocracy, the Noble Eagle replaced by corporate vultures. America on an economic downward spiral ever since, even the American earned Capital stolen by corporatists moved to China for higher ROI (Return On Investment). America borrows Chinese money to pay foreign oil bills, to fill their military's gas tanks, to run their country. The Feds a private criminal bankster/gangster organization prints billions a month to keep U.S. stock market bubble well inflated, with "Faith Based" U.S. Petro-Dollar funny money, the world, the American people, are all robbed and the music is turned louder and louder and the dance goes on . . .

We watch now as the Sands of Time: through advances in technologies and science: through the U.S. transition from honest, Gold based Capitalism and Democracy, by Nixon, to paper 'faith based, funny-money, U.S. Petro-Dollars', and crooked Corporatism championed by the Feds - international banksters, and crooks, America fades now, from world leadership for Capitalist Democracies in the Western World, and the world at large, while China and eventually the Yuan, or a "basket of Global Village currencies" - excluding the current U.S. 'funny money', slowly and very cautiously assumes the lead, without war, without bloodshed, and within the Global Village. Electricity, from Thorium primarily, not coal, natural gas, enriched uranium or oil, to become the new energy source of this 21st Century, to supplement Solar, Wind, Wave, Hydro, Tidal, Geothermal, Biological: domestic, electric sources for the 'new wave' across the Global Village, and outside and free from the former world-wide Oil/Energy,enriched uranium, monopoly held by the U.S.A. Corporate equations for profitability will no longer define resource flows as waste or useful: ROI (Return On Investment) no longer the rule, all resource concentrations will be recycled, reused, for the environmental security, clean water concerns, for all nations, in good social consciousness, rejecting the axioms of the corpocracy and the sick 'economics' it implied. This article depicts the beginning of the end of the U.S. and Western World, 'superiority' in intelligence, in science, in technology, in nuclear (enriched uranium) and oil-based Military supremacy, and the economics attached to this 20th Century phenomenon. The world moves forward and into the Global Village and the 21st Century concepts. China, with a great show of patience and restraint, and intellectual power to resolve issues with time and understanding over force and impatient Western warring techniques, allows time to resolve the obvious. Smarter? By far. Wiser, yes. Zen, very Zen, where America once rushed in swords drawn looking to let blood to change hearts and failed.

U.S. in economic desperation, but still refuses to tighten its own corporate and military belts, stop the Feds money printing, move from Oil to Solar, Wind, Wave, Hydro, Tidal, Geothermal, Biological, and Thorium energy sources for a more peaceful, cleaner, electric world, as China has done, Japan is prepared to do?

This technology a vast improvement in Canada's Northlands over the current very long hard to maintain fuel intensive highway and gasoline/rubber tires system. Oil Sands need this service, Edmonton to Calgary , even East to Winnipeg. Cheaper safer and almost as fast as fuel intensive jet flights too!
