Actually - Aussie ones to be precise. I had heard of this Australian Blue Heeler (mentioned above) living to 29 years. Others I have heard of have lived to their late 20s also. Not a bad innings for a dog! They are probably the hardiest breed of dog in the world, the heeler. And I hope Pusuke is resting in peace in doggie heaven!

It is almost certain he will rape other prisoners in the slammer. The death penalty would have been the correct punishment - the Chinese have it right in this respect.

Dunno where you are from Okimike - but your country sounds like the most awful joint in the entire world. Please tell us all where it is so we don't ever have the misfortune to visit!
Let's hope the poor boy recovers mentally and physically. As for the coward child abuser who did this, I hope he is put away for a long time and ends up jobless and homeless.

Geez, 500 whips, that's a bit harsh. I mean, what was this Aussie ocker doing - drinking Fosters' beer whilst en route to Mecca or something?

I'm sure you are directing that "compassionate people" at the aristocrats running China - as we all know, regular Chinese people are great. I've met many and can't honestly fault any of them - happy, positive and friendly. Glad I haven't met the guys at the top though.

How dare the Australian government not spend millions of dollars to send their (limited) naval vessels to protect Japanese whalers. Australians will be outraged at their government over this. NOT!

Well done to Josh "Jesus" Kennedy on nabbing the Golden boot 2 years in a row. The guy is a goal-scoring genius - that's for sure and certain. The Japanese guys just can't stop him scoring. Well played to this Leandro bloke too, he goes alright.

You can't rule out the Roar rom Brisbane. That mob have already gone about 40 games unbeaten - other Asian teams would be hard pressed breaking them down- they are that good. I reckon they are a smoky chance for the final.

The Olympus brand is mud now - sorry to say. Just let it go and sell off the assets in a fire sale to Chinese companies.

As other posters have said, let's hope they start locking Africans up first - those men have been responsible for some of the worst crimes against humanity of the past 40 years. Bush is an angel by comparison- and I detest the bloke.

I'm just hoping the poor little girl is OK. I think Japan - and most other countries for that matter - need to start building more mental hospitals, where folk who display violent tendencies early can be locked away forever. This is happening far too often.

Yikes - it seems Japanese folk are now joining the Mexicans and others in entering and attempting to work in the US illegally. As a 7-year veteran of Japan, I realise things are really bad here now, families going to the wall day-to-day by the thousands - I admit that - but is it really bad enough yet to lead to illegal emigration out of Japan? Gee whiz, I hope not.

@ Oikawa - ever met a Japanese dude? These blokes could drink most Aussie mates of mine under the table. Drink like fish this mob - pilots, train drivers, doctors...the lot. Just wander around a small Japanese town/city at night and have a look at the array of drinking options.

Just hope the United pilots who fly me to Hawaii tomorrow haven't had a skinful. As for myself, I plan on being mildly intoxicated on the trip - glad they won't be testing me!

Rest in Peace Big Artie. A true legend of the great game - an "Immortal". Used to be called "half-a-game Artie" late on in his illustrious career - he struggled at the end. But he was the very first of the ball-playing forwards. These days, in his footsteps, it isn't unusual to see props with great ball skills. Thanks for playing for my club - Parramatta - for a season. Well played, great fella.
