The problem is, these Taliban mob have infiltrated the Afghan regular military now and have started shooting their "own" men in planned attacks - unfortunately including a few Aussies who have tragically been killed. There was another attack today which injured another bunch of Aussie Diggers and Afghan soldiers.

We Japanese consumerrs know that TPP will threat Japan's food-safety.

I think we all know the Japanese do a pretty good job of threatening Japan's food safety!

Stop infesting the world with your filth to ordinary people. We have higher standards than the ignorant American consumer.

@ Dotoblock - So - feeding your kids school lunches containing unacceptably high levels of cesium and strontium is having "higher standards"? Your nation sadly has NO standards, and that, my friend, is the problem.

I think at some stage junkies have to take responsibility for their own actions. They never do though: it is always everyone else's fault they are in this predicament. Sure - the doc may have been guilty of malpractice - but this Jackson bloke had been shooting up for years - didn't they find his whole body riddled with track-marks in the autopsy? Dunno if the doc can be blamed for all of that...

Anyway, no-one should be happy or celebrating like some of Jackson's brain-dead fans were outside the courtroom. He is dead and not coming back.

Good luck to the young kid - yes, he has a lot of work to do to break the big time in the top 10 - but this is a start. Japan just doesn't have a tradition of tennis and champion players like the Americas, Australias and Russias - so hopefully he can inspire some kids here.

BTW - that is possibly the worst trophy EVER!

Disagree JapanGal. Huegill had even longer out of the pool, is a few years older - and is now back in the pool doing the business. It will take Thorpedo another few months of racing but he should be ready to nab a spot in our trials in March. Never write off a great!

@ darkbob - actually, I do not need any "religious guide". Too intelligent and independent to be brainwashed like so many people, luckily! Family, friends, experience and reason are my guides, no mumbo-jumbo superstition for me I'm afraid! Good luck to anyone out there that feels they need religious "leaders" to guide them.

PS Only last week there was a report on here stating that Japan is the "4th cleanest" nation in the OECD terms of companies doing business. Report = EPIC FAIL!

Bye-bye Olympus - the company is gooooone for sure and certain! I am getting images of a trip to the forest at the foot of Fuji-san with a couple pieces of rope for this Takayama grub and his buffoon sidekick Kawamata...not that I wish it, but it will likely happen. They are probably too cowardly to face up to any enquiries...

@ darkbob - each to his/her own I say. Intelligent and educated adults don't need "moral guardians" in the form of religious leaders telling them how to act. That goes for the "pope", Lama and Islamic leaders...

@ darkbob - Richard Gere and all the Tibetan Buddhist celebs in Hollywood are gonna be real angry with you, Bro! LOL! This bloke is pretty much similar to the pope fella - he opposes abortion and homosexuals. Relic of the past. They should get together! How much cash is he donating to the people who need it up here in Tohoku, by the way?

Foreign Minister Koichiro Gemba told a news conference on Friday that such a visit to North Korea would not be appropriate at this time, considering the current tensions between Japan and North Korea.

Current tensions? Is there ever a time when there are no tensions between N Korea and Japan?

Rest in Peace poor girl. Gotta agree with some of the posters - I am always worried when I see kids even younger here walking along busy streets to and from school.
