I can't believe he wasn't quoted as saying that "this was a rather unfortunate and regrettable incident..." I hope the poor lady recovers and never has to see this work-shy, sponging, violent trash again - and that he is put away for minimum 20.

Great story of two old blokes who have led very interesting lives. Nice they got to see each other again.

Nah - I just love to see "the little guy" , the underdog get up sometimes and win. As do most of my fellow Aussies - which is why Kei will have most of the crowd on his side against Mr.Murray. Can Murray handle the heat - physically and mentally? We know about his record of "mental disintegration" in big games...

This not an "incident" . This is not something that "went wrong". This is cold-blooded murder, and an extremely violent and sadistic murder at that. Show the dead some respect or rack off from this site permanently.

May he rest in Peace. Just a guy doing his best, walking home and he was violently attacked and killed by some racist street trash. He may have just been "the gaijin" to these thugs - but Bishnu Prasad Dhamala had friends and family who loved him and who he loved, I am certain. I just hope justice is equally served as it would be in the murder of a local - and comes down on these murderers like a ton of bricks.
I've only seen one street fight in all my time here (also Osaka) and I reckon the streets are still relatively safe - for this 183cm 83kg white guy anyway. Poor Mr.Dhamala was sadly an easier target.

More will die from smoking tobacco and drinking alcohol too. Does not mean we have to disregard all other environmental safety issues. It is reasonable that people in Japan are very concerned.

You're right there! Already there are some steals up this way - wouldn't let any kids live in these ones however.
Basic logic and commonsense would have dictated that any materials, foods, machinery - anything - within that 20km limit and elsewhere in Fukushima should have been checked several times before any shipment. The mind boggles as to what else has been shipped from the region - this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Well played Mr.Nishikori! That Tsonga bloke goes alright so it's a pretty big achievement. It seems Kei thrives in the hot Aussie conditions. I reckon he will beat Murray too, neither have a power game so no worries about getting belted by a big serve and I think Kei's stamina will win out. Pretty soon Japanese kids everywhere will be running around with racquets, I predict it will be next boom sport here - especially if he makes the Final! He has been slashed to 126-1 to win the thing, so pretty good value for all the Nishikori freaks out there...

@ Serrano - most izakaya and restaurants in my town have Nomi-Hodai - don't know the situation in Tokyo. I have had an all you can drink for 800 yen for 2 hours before! Usually no more than 1500 yen. Real beer too, I think! Times like that, the gaijin can't help liking this joint...

Um, Mr.Tanligaki is probably so old he does not realise Japan has now become a democracy. Thus the DPJ coalition is governing legitimately, not in a "bogus" manner. I agree they are hopelessly out of their depth however. For Japanese, the LDP is the "natural" party of government here, and will be returned whenever an election is called, without any question.
Lasting 6 months is nothing to be proud of! Even a year or two is ridiculous. The revolving door of Prime Ministers and Cabinet here is pathetic, and leads to instability and very poor governing. Even the Americans have come out and told Japan this in the past week or so.

Oh, one more thing - having shop staff bow at me every time I go shopping or to a restaurant. I enjoy the status of feeling like a God.

Low income tax. Sashimi and yaki-tori. Great snow and excellent ski-resorts which are inexpensive. Cheap nights out with all you can drink!

Well done Mr.Nishikori - equalling his best result in a major is great, but would be good to see him get to the Quarters. Maybe I'm a dreamer, but it would be nostalgic to see a non "power player" - who doesn't make 30 aces a match - go deep into the 2nd week. Well done to the Chinese ladies too - another Chinese triumph in a Slam is not out of the question - they are superb tennis players now. And great job by old Aussie veteran Hewitt to get to 4th round as a wildcard - will be a tough ask to get past Djokovic next though. This Open is Djokevic's to lose.

Well done to the Baltic Bear! Great achievement by the big unit. Europeans are even winning Grand Tournaments now - this Sumo caper really is a sport for Mongolians and Europeans with a few Japanese minnows making cameo appearances!
