How did he get such a low opinion of the Japanese female??

Wow! What an oddball question! Where did that come from? Did you ever think he might respect females so much that he feels he is not worthy to even talk to them, yet he has to do something to satiate his desire. I think a lot of Japanese guys lack social skills, and suffer from this.

I would define having a low opinion of Japanese women as the guys who approach darn near any girl, and when they get one they use her for a night and go on to the next.

More likely this dude suffers from too much respect and has a serious conflict of interest in his head.

He is a 20 minute walk from the prostitution area in Kyoto. He is only 1 or 2 minutes walk from some form of porography.

Prostitutes are not that good, not even to look at. Porn is not the same. Guys want to see more of woman who they have actually seen with their own eyes. Its natural, but something we males have to learn to deal with. This guy did not.

What the dude did was wrong, obviously, but lets not make wild speculations about it. They don't really help. I feel sorry for him. No man should have to resort to that sort of behavior. --Cirroc

Thousands of Japanese people kill themselves every year over the smallest of things. One Japanese guy does it in a foreign country, and suddenly it's 'suspicious'

What is suspicious is that seven minute time gap from being seen alive to being dead hanging from a noose made from pieces of his own shirt.

Also, the guy had seven months to do it, write a note, or express suicidal feelings to friends. He did none of the above. --Cirroc

Cuba says it will never renounce socialism

Ummmm....no......Cuba's foreign minister said that. Its a far cry from saying "Cuba" said it, and his power to do anything about it is quite limited. I really wish the fourth pillar would stop pandering fear and hate to the suckers of the world. --Cirroc

Guess that he was guilty too!

Of course. If one did not kill one's wife but were hounded with allegations that one did anyway, the knowledge of innocence and faith in God would sustain one to until proven innocent (no matter how many trials it takes) or until sent to God by the hands of man (and that would be a blessing, of course). So yeah, he must have been guilty! False accusations? Water off a ducks back! --Cirroc

Is that a fork sticking out of John McCain's back? Yep, sure is. Palin was just making sure he was done! Ding! Pass the gravy. --Cirroc

There are loonies on both sides of the fence. The difference is that left wing loonies tend to go on and on about conspiracies and UFOs while the loon on the right is violent and bloodthirsty and sees enemies everywhere. And it seems that more on the right are going loony with defeat in sight.

You will never guess which loon I would prefer to associate with if I had a choice. If the righties can't reign their own in, this could get messy. --Cirroc

Normally the libs would blast a state trooper for tasering an 11 year old child as child abuse, and rightly so. But alas, not a peep. **I guess it's not politically expedient in this case. **

More like not at all relevant. The issue was not Palin's to manhandle. People might forgive her for attempting get Wooten fired, but they will not forive her for turning her vengence on Monegan who was only doing his job and obeying the law.

You McCain supporters have done a pretty good with your BS and your smokescreens trying to make this about Wooten, when it is actually about Palin firing an innocent man. You have fooled a few. I would congratulate you for your efforts, but considering that your efforts are just an attempt to avoid and stifle the truth I refrain. This time your dirty tricks have backfired. --Cirroc

The party’s subsequent inclusion in the government led to months of European Union sanctions as Haider’s statements were seen as anti-Semitic or sympathetic to Adolf Hitler’s labor policies.

Labor policy? You have got to be kidding me!

I suppose if Adolf Hitler once ate corn flakes, then eating corn flakes must be evil. And since all Nazis had noses, I suppose we should all cut off ours! And we had best avoid their sewage policy too no matter how effecient it might have been. --Cirroc

You got to love the way the article glosses over the fact that Washington already made this promise and already backtracked on it once. In fact, that is what ruined the arms talks in the first place.

Take note people. The Soviets envied our propaganda machine, and I see its alive and well. --Cirroc

Might as well ask "Is it time to surrender to the Taliban?"

    Heck no!

Man, I really wish that people who cannot differentiate between talks, ceasefires, and surrenders would go fight to the finish themselves. There is no excuse if you are that adamant. If the U.S. military won't take you, join a mercenary group.

We have gotten plenty of revenge on the Taliban for the act of harboring bin Laden. And there has been more than our fair share of acceptable civilian deaths in getting it. Let it go already. I know of no Taliban who killed an American until the invasion of Afghanistan. What is your beef that you think only a Taliban surrender or driving them into the earth are the only two acceptable choices here? --Cirroc

How could anyone be possibly doing well after a double arm transplant? They are fooling themselves, his body will reject the new arm in about three months then he will be right back where he started.

If that happens I bet we will not hear about it. The press is terrible at follow up. --Cirroc

    "the donor's arms"

    Wow, what an unselfish donor!

Was thinking the same thing. Seems like a story in itself, so I am surprised it was neglected here. Obviously the donor is dead (except for his arms), but details would be nice.

Anyway, nice work Doctors Frankenstein! Just in time for Halloween! --Cirroc

They've had a clandestine nuclear program for decades and they are stonewalling any attempts by the UN to learn about it.

I asked for proof and this is all you have? It is truly a wonder that you have so much conviction. No messages from God?

Like Saddam refused to give details about WMD?

    Exactly.

What? That would be saying Iran does not have a nuclear bomb program and you just have a paranoid mind!

Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Israel, working with Hamas, Syria, Hezbollah. Will that suffice for now?

Iran funds and arms Israel, and Israel is a terrorist group that targets innocents? What are you playing at? You have named whole countries mostly, even Iraq, and only two groups. And you left out the PKK. Surprised you did not include the PLO.

Probably Hamas is the most clearly a terrorist group. Guess which of our buddies is also listed by the U.S. State dept. as funding them.

This area is too complicated to argue with someone just spouting random names. I mean, c'mon! Israel? Iraq of what era? If you make a serious list, I will address it.

How's that rosy image of Iran looking in your eyes now?

I have no rosy image of Iran, Israel, or even the United States.

it comes down to that then you'll just defend Iran by attacking the US.

Pointing out similarities and inconsistencies is an attack? This is exactly the kind of hyper-sensitivity Americans need to avoid when dealing with this issue. --Cirroc

The line about the media obeying the obscenity law is hilarious!! I still don't know why they insist on Victorian values in blotting out body parts here, when I can walk into any convenience store where my kid is greeted with magazines portraying sex, nudity and bukkake - at HIS eye level! Another fine example of double standards.

There is no double standard. The sexual situations often depicted anywhere and everywhere are not the same thing as displaying genitals. The Japanese are very consistent about it, as they were with reporting of this incident.

Anyway, even in America they blotted out the genitals for television, as one poster above tells us. --Cirroc

Holding one of those the wrong way at night in many countries is enough to get yourself shot on suspicion. Rather surprised that they would be allowed to sell them here.

Maybe it has something to do with Japan not being "one of those countries"? I could not be happier to live in a country so gun free that realistic looking toys are widely available. --Cirroc
