Best wait to find out what kind of abuse might of occurred.

Well, if they do not interview the boy properly, we will probably get tales of alien anal probes and satanic rituals.

True that those guys might have earned their fates, but its also possible they boy earned every whipping he got. I have seen some real handfuls. Recently I saw one throw a rock at a teacher. No doubt that boy finds himself totally justified.

Even bleeding heart liberals can't have a problem with this.

Having a problem with this is not a simple matter of humanitarianism. These guys wanted martyrdom. It should not have been handed to them on a silver platter. That was stupid. Now some people think they are up in Heaven with God knows how many virgins. Some will think to join them.

Another point is that the dead dont suffer. These guys deserved to live long long miserable lives alone in dark cages. They are at peace now. It can be said they got off rather lightly.

And what an execution does each and every time is justify killing people as long as you can come up with the right excuse. Thou shalt not kill, EVER, is a much smarter message.

Even the father of one of their victims objected. Its right there in the article.

Even the lawyers claiming ex post facto have a point.

Bleeding heart liberals, people with an eye on the future, those with above average amounts of grey matter, and those who really know what revenge is all oppose these executions.

It’s unprofessional and those guys are jerks if they came away with it, taking things out of context and then tried to spread something on national news. It’s not fair, and it’s not right.

But taking William Ayers out of context is OK.

Wow. That is a very very good point. Palin "around with terrorists" can now be called Palin "around with hypocrits". --Cirroc

I suppose the Americans will prosecute him as an adult and execute him after his 18th birthday

Huh? No. But there are those who would like too. Strangely enough they are the same people who think giving an 8 year old a .22 for Christmas is appropriate, and are much more likely to do so now that Obama is president elect.

Common sense is if you outlaw guns, then only the outlaws will have guns.

Funny, because that is EXACTLY the way it is here in Japan. Only the outlaws have guns. Yet, so little gun crime here. Odd, isn't it?

Well, actually no. What gun nuts like to overlook is the mechanisms by which those guns flow into the hands of outlaws. That happens chiefly via a middle man, the very law abiding citizens you want to arm. In fact, a great many law abiding citizens buy guns and become outlaws themselves. Imagine if we never armed them!

Reducing the overall number of guns reduces the overall number of gun crimes and gun deaths. The logic is sound and at the elementary school level. Accept it.

Now, maybe other crimes will go up some. So what? I would rather be robbed twice than robbed and shot once. Who wouldn't?

Thought she was talking to the Prime Minister of France on the phone, when all the while she was speaking to a comedian based in Canada. OMG!

I think you would be surprised how many state governors have never spoken to any French politician ever and would not know the difference if they were standing right in front of them, much less on the telephone. And I do not think there is a crash course organized to teach potential VPs all those world leaders' voices.

I have to side with Palin about the clothes. Can't beleive anyone is still even thinking about it. Appearance is part of running a successful campaign, and that is because of the shallowness of the voters. Its not Palin's fault.

In fact, just the fact that anyone even paid much attention to it shows just how much the voters have not got one clue what is important.

    Republican fearmongering.

That would be like preaching to the choir my friend. So many gun owners and prospective owners are just plain fearful paranoid people, and so many of them are Republicans. Democrats have them too, but I beleive the Republican ones to be of greater number. --Cirroc

Prostitutes as well as governors often have need to travel to other states. " together?

She was hitch-hiking! Who better than the governor to make sure she comes to no harm! Warm and caring, even about the prostitutes! He would get my vote!

I harbor a deep grudge towards my homeland for its worldwide demonization of this immensely beneficial plant...

Beneficial? You probably find no benefit in any form of relaxation I suppose? You would go for a seven day work week and make everyone wear black and cover even their ankles no doubt. I also suspect the hard lessons of prohibition are totally lost on you.

You probably do not know that hemp is in fact so beneficial that the United States lifted a ban on it during WWII. It was needed for the war effort. The plant has many uses besides as a drug. It used to be very common until DuPont came along.

I have always felt, if you need to get and get outside your casa, drop the wife and then go and get some. That applies to women too

Not only a rather extreme thing to do just for the sake of sex, but an even more extreme thing to force others to do it. Some have flings with the knowledge of their partners, but adultery laws do not permit that either.

If your morality is such, more power to you. But please, please, do not endorse forcing your morality on others.

I would never push divorce on a wife who could or does forgive me. That seems to be the pinnacle of disrespect, much worse than a sexual romp with another is.

and I didn't mean he can't cross state lines, he transported a prostitute.

Not sure of the significance except that it might push the "crime" to the federal level. If there is some law like this, obviously it would disappear if prostitution were legalized. Prostitutes as well as governors often have need to travel to other states.

Thank you fatloser. While many here think this guy is an idiot, how many of them could even actually make the gun? Sorry, but the guy is one up on most of us here. And I am not sorry if I busted anybody's little bubble of smugness. Some people really need to get some humility.

yes. law abiding citizens are losers and criminals are heroes.

Only a complete fool would mix sellers of marijuana with, say gangsters who should be ratted out.

The narc is a tosser. I consider the smoking and growing of weed to be completely just and downright necessary civil disobedience.

well, if you are going to go that far, why not legalize some drugs, shouldn't the same hold true here?

Legalize and REGULATE. Yes. Many already are: alcohol, nicotine, caffeine, aspirin, viagra, morphine, all drugs, all legal and all regulated. I would add marijuana to that list, and go easy on the regulation. Cocaine too, only much harder on the regulation, very hard in fact.

Now, I would agree with you if the following conditions are met: no one is under age no one is in a forced position, be it the girls being bought in to the country on some scam or be it for financial reasons in matters such as debt.

Also known as regulation. We are in agreement.

And note that one of the customers lost his governorship." and he should have, he broke a law by 1 crossing state lines and 2. adultery.

Governors should also be allowed to cross state lines, or even go abroad on holiday occasionally. And adultery? Yeah, those archaic, ridiculous and unfair laws are still on the books some places, along with it being against the law to do anything but missionary with your own wife. Those laws are ignored for good reason. This is 21st century, not the 15th.

Yeltsin or Putin? 90% of Russians would still vote for Putin and for good reason - he looked out for the national interest rather than a personal or internationalist interest.

I would hate to think he is the only Russian to do so. If Russians cannot find another guy to do that, then they are well and truly scrood anyway. The sooner they they embrace the democratic process the sooner they can fix that. Extending Putin's term is NOT embracing democracy. It is inviting tyranny. George Washington was offered a lot of things. No doubt he would turn this down too, THAT is how much he had the national interest in mind. Putin should do the same.

I thought the best part of Obama's 30 minute infomercial was at the end when he said, "And if you vote now, I'll throw in a set of steak knives."

Not bad for an amateur! Now please, can the racism! (kidding)

Right now I have the song "Chocolate City" by Parliament playing in my head. Seems fitting.

Uh, what's happening CC? They still call it the White House But that's a temporary condition, too. Can you dig it, CC?

And I doubt we will much any claws in the next 4 years. Any lampooning even close to what Bush gets on a daily basis would immediately be called "racist".

If they were going to make something funny about Obama it would almost HAVE to be racist. He does not have the Bush twang, the Bush tendency to say the most ridiculous things and mix up vocabulary, nor does he scrunch up his face when he talks, etc. etc. ad nauseum. Bush has a million things to poke fun at. Its really just that simple. Obama has next to nothing, unless you consider his mixed race.

But if you got something that I could not somehow pin on all blacks, like we cannot pin mixed up and misused vocabulary to all whites, then please, post them here. I could always use the laugh, so please, be my guest. Give it a shot.

So the women face the music, while the men skate off. How typical.

Typical? This is not some gender discrimination thing. The prostitutes, as well as the pimps, are soliciting an illegal service, and so the law goes after them. By the way, pimps are usually male. Going after the customers would be a waste of time and money. Smarter to go for the source, that is all that is happening with this.

And note that one of the customers lost his governorship.

But for the record I am for legalizing and regulating prostitution. No one should be arrested and no one's political career should be affected by this.

For now, most comedians, including the panel on Wednesday, seem to be holding back from making fun of an election victory they all wanted.

I think its more like its just hard to find anything funny about Obama. They have to contrive situations to make it funny, and still, its not Obama you are laughing at but the situation or the people around him. I certainly do not believe comedians are holding back on purpose. That idea might please right wing nuts while they are licking their wounds, but its just not true.

I think they will focus on Biden if they want someone from the White House to be the brunt of jokes.

    and terrorism is under check

Terrorism is already under check as far as America is concerned. There isn't any more terrorism now than there has been for the last 40 years, its just America is paying attention now.

Most of what is happening in the Middle East is not so much terrorism, but par for the course when you have a war zone in the modern world. Unless of course you think dropping a bomb on a wedding from the sky is really all that different than blowing yourself up in a market place. The only big difference I see is having the plane.

So what we have might be classified as insurgency, civil war, and/or resistance long before we allege terrorism. Certainly shooting at foreign troops in your own country cannot be classified as terrorism. (And sorry to anyone who wanted that tied up in a pretty package with a neat bow. You are not getting it.) Americans are not experiencing any more terrorism than they were before. And as much as the Republicans might like to take credit for that, they can also take some credit for the man that presided over 9/11 and passing the hot potato into Iraq to take the heat off Americans, among other things. Iraqi kids died for his sins. --Cirroc
