Its about time Halloween got more recognition. Halloween should be an official recognized holiday complete with a day off for non-service companies so that parents will have more energy to help their kids and make sure they are safe while trick or treating.
I hear you memyself. I love it too. But it hurts when people stop and say "Hey! Nice caveman costume!" I swear, I get that again and I will sue them several million dollars in damages.

I would think that measures to avoid giving a lying CinC the power to initiate war, measures to prevent unfair terms of service for our servicemen by guaranteeing a draft when it gets this hard on them, and reinstating financial and other support for our servicemen for when they get back home would all be products of looking back that will help our future.

That is running a successful campaign my friend! This was done with Obama's approval. It might have even been his idea. It could not have happened without Obama himself giving it the ok. He did so. He won. And the disqualifications were legitimate and fair. It would not be the first time politicians used names on cemetary plots to make it appear they have support, or other ridiculous and illegal shenanigans. Obama has said he wants change. It would make no sense to let politicians get away with shenanigans and hope for the best at election time. No. You bust them. Successful campaign.
Funny. McCain was also viewed as a carpet bagger by some in Arizona, but he won their senate seat. It seems to me that such a weakness can be overcome and is not an instant disqualification. It seems to me that Obama judged the situation, figured he could win, and then ran a successful campaign. Had he run an awful campaign, or misjudged, most likely he would not have won.
I cannot confirm your contention. But I can tell you its totally moot and McCain is the proof.
And the president does not give orders directly on the battlefield, but we still call him the Commander in chief. The candidate has plenty of say in what goes on, including choice of campaign managers. But if you take this tack, then we cannot even say the president runs the country, because other people actually run the country! And McCain did not actually approve all those messages!
Nonsense. The candidate runs the campaign just like all high level government officials run things: with his example, his choices of people, and his mouth.

I would not make that comparison. These are young men who are examined for physical and mental health going in. It makes no sense to compare them to the whole civilian population , who never got any weeding.
But the majority of those problems probably would not have occurred if not for the unnecessary war, soldiered not by a draft, but by many who got pulled out of civilian life after doing their tour and shoved right back into the military. Also, many were about to finish but then got their tour extended. How many wives and girlfriends just could not wait any longer? How many soldiers could not wait any longer?
Then consider the cutbacks of the Bush and friends into VA etc.
Its too bad overseas military votes will be tossed into the incinerator without ever being counted.

Well, if I knew who exactly suggested he reward the Georgians who started the violence and who suggest he punish the Russians who defended themselves and the S. Ossetians but admittedly over-reacted, then I will have some more direct clues.
Both are pretty stupid, unless you actually want to start a cold war. They may have been Bush's very own ideas (as stupid ones), but supported by others.
Then we have those who profit from both war and cold war alike. The military/industrial complex.
But I tell you what, if you want to think that George is not being controlled and is just plain stupid and/or evil, that is plenty good enough for me.
Yes. But it may take a revolution akin to the French Revolution to get our greedy rich masters out of the path of justice and truth. But if you steadfastly believe the process is working, then vote for Obama.

Bush might be a complete idiot, but his puppeteers are smart. Seems to me they want a new cold war. A cold war would be more profitable than the war on terror for them. Also a lot more easy for the public to swallow than all this shooting at shadows.
1 billion to Georgia, the country that started the violence this round, but punishment for Russia, who over-reacted to that violence. What an absolute crock of &%$#. If you folks out there can't smell it, then your nose is broken on the inside.
That muppet needs to be removed. Pronto!

Unlike his own affair which led to divorce. Not that I hold it against him, nor do most Democrats it seems, but the right sure would if he was a Democrat. And they would most certainly run with these allegations against Palin too whether truth, lie or mystery. We all know it. The Republicans put solidarity over consistency or responsibility, and after the last 8 years of that trash, you can see why I support the Democrats.

Ah JFC! Everybody has the same timetable for cripe's sakes.
The big point is that no U.S. soldier would have died in Iraq if Obama had his way. That is the kind of leader we need, not the kind that covers %$>% with roses and prays the smell will go away on its own after the perfume wears off.

I hope not. Then McCain/Palin will get the sympathy vote like Bush did. "He is not dumb, he just has trouble speaking." Uhmm... sometimes both are true! I hope Biden beats her like a gentleman. And I hope those borderline Republicans who vote on gentlemanly behavior take notice.
Going through the article, it seems that just about every statement has a fatal flaw. I will be picking them apart when I find the time.
For now:
Guess again. He has run successful campaigns for both the State and National Senate, and that takes leadership. He seems to be running a pretty good presidential campaign right now, and quite a lot of people under him. He already has a great number of Americans following him already. If you don't see that, then you must be Rip van Winkle and still asleep.

What amazes me is the skill it takes it get up close and grab that bag with one hand, stow it, all the while controlling the scooter with the other hand. If the women put up even a small fight, the thief would likely crash.
I cannot blame women for not taking measure to prevent this. If they did not see it on TV, few would conceive of it themselves. You cannot prepare for what you are not even aware of. Heck, they are looking right at their bag and they are on a moving cycle. Its natural they feel secure. It is also no surprise people do not want to be bothered with nets and all that other business. There is plenty to do in one day without tinkering with nets and such every time you put away or retrieve your handbag.
Dang thieves anyway. I wish they would target other thieves, such as politicians, instead of innocent housewives.

I can honestly say I do not give one fig newton of support for either Russia or Georgia. To heck with them both. The overwhelming concern here is for the people of S. Ossetia to be able to choose for themselves.
The majority want to be part of Russia. Most of those even hold Russian passports! The only reason S. Ossetia went to Georgia was geography. To heck with geography too. Those people have a right to choose their future and their affiliations. I am not impressed with the land greediness of Georgia or Russia, and that is about the only true interest either of them have. And I am not impressed with people taking one of those two sides either. Only the desires of the people of S. Ossetia matter, clearly.
Unfortunately the Russians don't even realize that or that would be all they say rather than this tough talk. They should can it and start talking about the rights of self-government.

I do not approve of Cleo's words, but the assumption that they were not intentionally trying to make a baby is completely valid.
It is backed up by this in the article:
A statement like that is not made when a pregnancy is planned. In such a case, they state that the pregnancy was planned.

Yes. Sarah Palin's pro-gun stance is about be questioned.
The article does not say that was the speed. It says "in excess of". I think I would stop looking at the speedometer about that speed myself. Even if I glanced at it, I doubt I would process the info during a pursuit. But maybe its just my caveman terror of motor vehicles? Those things frighten and confuse me. I don't know how people can drive them. But what I do know is that Zamora, my client, is entitled to several million dollars in compensation from the state. They should have kept him locked up for his own safety.
