Japan treats non Japanese as 2nd class and then even those who naturalise are treated 2nd class due to their looks, it is ghastly. Permanent residents should have certain rights, possibly in local elections , but should also shout LOUD to the government to allow dual nationality, and to those who say otherwise, i know a few Japanese who gained British nationality then went back to Japan and had not renounced their Japanese nationality and carried on as normal. The law is an ass.

cleo; Britain allow anyone to renounce their citizenship and automatically reapply 3 times in their lifetime dear.
I think only citizens should vote, but ten again i think dual nationality is a human right, then again i`m not a Japanophile.

Branded; love, Blair was not in any significant position of power when the Kurds were gassed, i haven`t heard him criticised for that.
The man is a beast though, who invadeed Iraq and caused massive carnage and deaths for his evil religous beliefs and he was hoodwinked by dumbo Bush.

nigelboy; A dictatorship style anti foreigner government is a possibility in Japan with its decline. Though one could be a citizen , we all know that you are not accepted by a large section of society as Japanese, and never will be.
People situations change, one may wish to go back to Britain and look after sick relatives for a while without the trouble of visas. That is civilised, not allowing dual nationality is beastly and insular.

nigelboy; I think the answer is because of the lack of dual nationality.
If i were to marry a Japanese i would not want to give up my rights as a British citizen, which doesn
t mean i wouldnt be loyal to both countries. I think the no dual nationality rule is old hat and rather ghastly.Posted in: Should permanent foreign residents have the right to vote in local elections in their country of residence?

There is a fine line between being afan and a weird obsessive as we can see by the huge sales of this silly DVD and some of the posts on here.
The man was a vain egotistical perv, yucky wucky! The DVD was awfull, i wouldn`t recommend unless with a group after some bevvies and you fancy a giggle.

Sarge; Maybe not love, but it would be my ideal punishment for the beastly man responsible for the death of so many. He now has a new job with a Saudi company tendering for Iraqi oil!! Pure evil.

I do not agree with the death penalty even for such a ghastly "human" as Tony Blair.
Solitary confinement for life with only his beloved bible for company would be just desserts for the pig.

Gawd, i am so sick and tired of all thei Wacko Jacko hysteria. 1.6 Billion Yen that could have been better spent.
He was a bald, 80
s has been with a drug addiction and a creepy obsession with little boys. I honestly cant recall all the wonderfull things the man did, everything he did was to grow his already huge ego.His death is part of a ghastly and sordid last 2 decades, this sugar coated DVD won`t change that, and yes i have seen it if anyone asks.

Blair is a disgrace to Britain and the Labour party. He portayed himself as a Kennnedy type "regular guy" as he liked to call himself. The beastly man was a war mongering extreme religous fanatic.
The ghastly man hoodwinked parliament into an illegal invasion which made tens of thousands dead. The beast now flies around the world getting richer making speeches, whilst he says everything he did was right.
I think his wicked deeds should earn him a trial at the Hague the swine.

Prison Break was good at first but the plots began terribly silly and unbelieveable the more the series progressed.
They carried on for too long, should have ended with series 2.

grafton; I uggest you watch last weeks Panorama love. It shows leading Israelis stating they want to cleanse East Jeruselem of Arabs and make sure Jews are the majority. Israel are terribly beastly and the government is extremely xenaphobic and vulgar. Israel has the intention of removing all Arabs from where they want regardless of UN Resolutions or world opinion.
Obama needs Jewish money and support, so shall wrongly side with Israel at all times. I think the bloodshed and genocide is because of both US and Israeli policies.

choucreme; Banned it is love, along with manner Japanese products. The latest banned from the UK was fish products due to low hygiene standards of storage and processing.
Japan has a terrible record of fraudulent claims about its food, especially from the source. I would take most of their claims with a pinch of salt until they clean up their act.
