Yeah... but to understand better the extend of the problem... A japanese Md/Phd when placed in first-world scientific institution is barely good enough to feed the lab rats and be the xerox-girl. This and their bad reputation as being spies of their emperor (quite proved with that army guy once again) make the situation lose lose for everybody.
You can understand that at home they try to save their work... 'ethic'... Maybe one day they will stop lowering their standards to exceed their expectations.

German branded made in china junk...
Not that Chinese product are all junk... when they directly brand them they are quite good. But when they are subcontracted by euro/us firms who want the lowest price possible it turn to a nightmare. I now prefere buying directly from Hongkong.
List a company that abuse this system: Fleischmann (luxury model train, now made on your average sweatshop, still sold at the 'luxury' price) CMC (luxury minicars, from 200 to 2000 euros each... german brand... made in china...) Norev/minichamps/kyosho (fr/de/jp minicar, their 1/18 lineup is from the same factory in china, exactly the same packaging and fabrication default -chrome for the logo on the trunk door don't stick for all their Audi reproductions)
Meanwhile Chinese brand -Esky, Yeah Racing (...) retail for dirt cheap, HongKong shops are more than fast and efficient for delivery and support/spare parts and most of the time they offer more than they promise (ex: their 4 channel RC Choppers are in fact provided with 6 channels receivers, free training cables and so on...)

I think they are. Maybe depend of your definition of paramedics. But when called they try to act first, carry back later. (painfull experience and memory here)

There was a lot of victims, but the number was manageable, the situation with the assaillant was under control. Lots of paramedic were on the scene. Misclassification of a stab wound seen as a car accident is absolutely ridiculous. Some people should lose their job here (and not just say sorruy with a crocodile tear in their eyes then go back to the nearest soapland).
Japan is a country where trouble can be BIG fast and in much worse conditions (think earthquake or another fanatic attack). If they can't handle the outcome of a 1 man rampage in a place where medical service are plentiful i fear for the day where sh1t hit the fan for good...
Kinda strenghten my view of japanese healthcare... Mercobenz driving quacks...

And birds will start to fall of the sky in the name of ecology and fuel saving...
Flying a jet is one of the thing you want to do properly... not by cutting corners... especially not "saving fuel" by changing the method for slowing down at landing... not with pilot having a god syndrome and barely able to speak english...

Those light bulbs are the same hazardous level as standard fluorescent tube arounds since the begining of times (or so it seems). It's not a new threat it's just the only twist that people who are against CFL found because it remove them the freedom of beeing energy hogs and constant fire hazards...
You use CFL... OMG they be me'cury in it... Nothing to see here... move along...
Enjoy the wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fluorescent_lamp it's quite a good one.

Westurn... could you at least try to make any sense sometimes ? I'd take another Audi over anything american, even if after now 2 years that i got rid of it, my A4 still give me nightmares.
And honestly, in Japan... The resale value of foreign cars is so low that it's like burning money. I was jumping fo joy when I knew that i didn't have to pay to actually get rid of the krauter but was even given a free key-holder... Most beautiful day of my life...

Yeah, take a bloke from Hokkaido, make him speak to a bloke from Okinawa. Enjoy the misunderstandings.
Joking right ? that's why there is always cryptakana translation over every possible kanjis on the signs. Lower the standards to improve the results...
No, that would be the europeans starting in the 17th century. While the japanese where still struggling in tribal wars.
Also, Dragonball and evangelion are not greatest piece of anything. Because of obsolete kanji old japanese litterature is lost for everybody. For movies the only name I can think of will be Kurosawa. And it's more a name that you remember because he is japanese rather than because his movies are exceptionals.
Again you will cheat in your arguments by saying that if i don't mention other artist it's because i don't know of any other and is a nekulturniy but to be honest... there is really nothing else to be mentioned... Japanese cultural influence is minimal and mediocre as is their language.

Republic of texas... Dude... you just falled in a wide open trap... Complicate is one thing, operating an helicopter is complicate, but it make sense and give a result. Japanese language is really just a puddle of mud with as much obscurantism as possible, rules that are more often broken than followed and bail outs that hide behind "the context" to make sense of anything, while being unable to retrieve any context because nothing make anysense (cathc 22). You can claim superiority by saying it's complicate and those who don't get it are inferior. Or just admit that the first purpose of a language is making efficient communication possible. And Japanese fail miserably where German, English, Spanish, Portuguese, French and many other suceed.
Again, for precision nothing beat the German. But the sound is quite uneasy on the ears.
Deeper meaning through kanjis ? in europe we call this rebuses, it's considered as a game for little kids, not as a full language. Even the Vietnamese who are quite an4l-retentive (or strict if you prefer) on education matters have given up on kanjis. Japanese is closer to the definition of a pidgin than of a real language. Metaphor or other stylistic tools and play of words seems to be lost on 99% of the population.
By law (the dictionary of the French academy), english words can not be used in the French language, only a few of them have been allowed (bizarre slang in the french language ? you mean, not even english ? oh mai!!!). I feel FoxNews level of education here.
For their origin and influence, enjoy this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indo-European_languages

3 radically different problems here...
Honda: software bug... yeah... so what... (maybe one day car will have a nightmarish update tuesday like in windows update...) Subaru: third party problem (if it's the belt herself) or is it the belt tensionner ? Stalling a kjidosha might not be too dangerous anyway.
AND AS USUAL Mitsubishi Fuso takes the cake: You can drop the transmission shaft !? This thing is not tied to the body but between the gearbox and the axle (or transfer case and axle in case of all wheel drive trucks). That's a 2-4 meter iron pipe that might get loose and start spinning like an unbalanced propeller under the truck... That's also quite low tech, something that you should check quite often, and most of all, something that anybody can see from outside the truck without having to open any access (mean really easy to inspect and really not that difficult to replace). It's like if they were trying to be evil on purpose... But god, the LanEvo X or even the new Galant Fortis looks incredibly good... If I was not brainwashed to only use hatchbacks I would buy one on the spot.

Slightly misleading... but technically speaking... it can be seen as foggily correct... It's really a grey area. Not like labelling food at 100y and asking 200y for it... More like label at 100y, sold only with a plastic tray for 100y more... Dodgy... but nothing worse than a car salesman.

Subtlety in japanese language ?! can we stop the propaganda here ? It's an arcane based mayhem where new generation can't read the older books because the kanjis are outdated and no proper dictionary method exist to find them. There is no governing body, words of foreign origin are used for few years and then forgotten or slaughtered enough to lose all link whit their meaning and origin. You can randomly use 3 alphabets to write things making reading speed totally uneven to the point of being uncomfortable (1cm for a criptic kanji badly printed to the point of being unrecognisable, then 7 cm to write a common word in katakana... speed reading method are not just failing here, they are akin to intellectual suicide)
I was flabbergasted last weak on a machine-tool related website in chinese, just using google translator gave me a perfect english version. The same method with japanese gives a nerve wrecking stacking of meaningless words. As usual, the japanese stole characteres from the chinese without understanding their proper use. With their usual pseudo superiority came with random rules to use them as a written language... and completely failed.
Yeah, sure, as usual, you can say that it's because we are not subtle enough, didn't drink enough sake or eat enough dry fish and sticky rice. OR you can be honest and call poop when you see some.
German for precision (and the bad guys in old war movies) French for beauty Italian for romance English for the VCR manual (and the good guys in any movies) Russian for the bad guys in spies movies Japanese for the trash instruction...

"Still, insiders caution that Megumi will need to be patient about her husband’s partying. After all, when you marry an artist, you have to share him with the public."
This kind of warm'n'fuzzy patronizing seems directly out of a bad 4th grader essay. Make me want to puke.

Dude... do you know how fuel efficient they already are ? You certainly think the Prius has better mileage than the VW Bora TDi I suppose... Ecoterrorism as usual...
And I didn't knew airplane fuel tanks were so badly designed... a tank of 1 gallon of kerosene emptied but not dried contain fumes that if ignited are as powerfull as a dynamite stick. So 1- why was there any sparkles on this tank to ignite the fumes and 2- who is the genius who didn't think about a venting system against fume concentration ? 3 why bother with hydrogen when you have plenty of already oxygene depleted air coming from the exhaust that can be easily cooled and used in the tank (that's how you pressurize small planes fuel tanks anyway...).
