'Public Morality' ? It's the codeword for lecturing your neighbourg ? In europe we call them religious biggots... Like if we needed more obachans to lecture cuties putting makeup in the subway...
Posted in: These days, on trains, for example, we often see people who have little sense of public morality.

How many watt produced ? The convertion rate increase is absolutely ridiculous. It's more about marketting than anything else here. Kyocera make 15.7 percent conversion rate panels (record broken in 2004). And Back then Sharp record was of 14.8 .
They are dragging their feets...

What about putting a storyline instead of just dropping a camera crew in front of a couple that barely know what they are supposed to do until the battery drop dead ?

Yeah, fear and paranoia... just what everybody needs...
Want a good way to avoid random attack on public places ? crowd support and response instead of the usual attitude of looking somewhere else as long as you are not the one bleeding.
I spent 20 minutes on the floor under my bicycle after being cowardly attacked by... hum... a streetlight... before somebody even looked at me. No wonder why every wacko on the block feels that he can attack anybody without any risks when even city furnitures start to play hard without fear.
(also, putting streetlights in the center of the sidewalk is not what I consider good planning...)
Posted in: The best defense is to be alert. Scrutinize your surroundings. To walk while listening to music on a personal player or tapping out messages on a cell phone nullifies our innate human ability to sense threats.

"however at least other companies may follow that idea, which is good."
What idea ? having a green logo ? make'em feel good behaviour, calling to warm'n'fuzzy feelings is usually a scam...

Motobujon... In what is it jealousy to make the remark that the Russian back in the early cold war days where making smaller helicopter than this ? (source was Darkroastedblend, can't find the link now)
If anything, Im jealous not to be as shameless and clueless as the japanese who never fear to state they are the best in some field while they are in fact either 30 years late (eco-home) or just have stolen the technology somewhere else (Toyota Prius/LCD).

On one side... this sound really like a murder case... on the other side... as someone who live in a bombproof building with laundry room two stairs away from the bedroom. I can understand that bad things can happen when you do the laundry, especially a 9am when you expect the kid to actually sleep. And the little guy seemed to be on the hyperactive side.
Hell last time my wife detonated something in the kitchen while trying to cook i was 2 rooms away and thought it was a cat farting on my knees. Only the lack of that typical foul smell replaced by a burning-thing one told me something was amiss.

Just an idea... why not subbing in the spoken language. It helps a lot for learning english... Everytime I saw japanese subbing kanjis were litterally killing the picture of the movie, but not nearly as ridiculous as japanese dubbing... The Hunt for Red October... in Japanese... dude, that was the comedy of the year...

People who buy PC in supermarkets are the people who consider it as a random appliance to check Email. The lucky clueless few... But in for some pain.
I'm a sysadmin, and god knows that I would be able to do the same, buying a random netappliance to check mail and browse the web without starting a new nightmare of virus/trojan/hardware incompat and so on.

Yeah but in Tokyo they ask not to call ambulance unless you are missing an arm... And honestly, with the (lack of) qualityu of japanese doctors, might as well at least get a cool ride in an ambulance.
Posted in: With citizens paying taxes and having an increased awareness of their rights, more people are of the view that they're entitled to get service from public servants.

4 million yens is more than affordable, that's the sticker price for a Renault Megane Station wagon. Which here, might be a little fancy, but nothing luxury or outrageous. Ok, if you compare to a dirt cheap nissan it might be 1 million yens more. But still far from unattainable.
The bottomline, are these kind of fantasm what keeps you alive ?

You can add Nagoya to the list of sh1tholes... The view is rendered nauseating by the awefull and boring condo, golf training nets, and also random gaz tank shaped like giant balls...
Nothing foreign here, just 100% japanese business practice... Like for criminality, let them blame everything on earth except them... jus make the problem bigger, at a certain point they wont be able to continue to lye to themselves. Might be too late then...

I think the French can sell them Sarkozy, huge discount, come with Italian wife, somewhat used but look like new... Aside from the fact that he's useless, expensive to run, vulgar and noisy. Can be a perfect replacement for Koizumi, they have the same love for cameras, being with lame actors and share the same limited cultural knowledge.
Posted in: Fukuda, though he may be a nice man and even a superior human being to Koizumi, projects the image of every tired, ineffectual and miscast prime minister ever inflicted on the proud and needy Japanese.
