I don't see what the big deal is. So he likes manga. Wake-up call-- a lot of people do. Even in some hotels they have rows of comics for business men to read (which they do) and no one is complaining about that. Until Aso runs around in cosplay, yelling anime/manga catch phrases, I'm pretty sure Japan will be just fine with their new PM.

"police are investigating the possibility of child abuse." POSSIBLE child abuse? I'm pretty sure the signs point to definite child abuse.

I for one am glad she cleaned up. She had a few rough patches, but who hasn't? It's easy for people to judge her so quickly, but until you have been chased down and cornered and had your entire life stalked by the paparazzi, I don't think you guys should judge how she acted :) I love her new CD, I wish her all the best.

pizzaboy: Well, If they do, and it's taken them three years... and oh wait STILL HAVEN'T caught the guy.. then I'd say they really don't have any clues or leads that are solid enough to find a suspect :)

This is extremely sad. Apparently the JCops haven't been looking THAT hard. If she was naked there must have been some sort of DNA from the killer that they over looked. What kind of knife was it? Where is the history of people who purchased that same knife that can make that knife wound? Any foot prints? I can guarantee the killer didn't cover his tracks they carefully. Did they look for hair strands or anything similar to that near the area where the girl was killed? I mean seriously, they can get SOME sort of lead.. if they actually decided to do their job.

I for one get a tad bit annoyed when people say "happy holidays!" in December. I'm not religious in any terms of the word (I haven't even stepped foot inside a church, let alone touched a bible) but its MERRY CHRISTMAS with your CHRISTMAS TREE. I don't throw a little hissy fit when one of my friends say "HAPPY HANUKKAH" about how they aren't politically correct and all that BS. Just let it be. It's irritating with everyone spazzing over what people say. "Merry Christmas" doesn't translate to "I'm going to slit your throat", people. So let it goooo all you "happy holiday-ers" its not the end of the world.

i 100% agree with romulus. If this mother was aware of the violent behaviors of her husband, why the hell wasn't she there for the kid? If it were my child (which I would never be married to a man like this in the first place) but i would take him with me EVERYWHERE if I couldn't get out of such an abusive situation. It's your damn child. Nothing you do can be more important then the safety of your child. So yes, it DOES make a difference WHERE she was when these threats were happening. She better have a damn good excuse, like being hit by a car, if she wasn't there when he was threatening to hurt the child if she wasn't there early. I'm not saying that it is okay to hit a child if your wife isn't at your beck-and-call, but I am saying the mother does have some part to blame. In abusive situations (imo, don't shoot me for saying them :)) I think that the "victim" really is the one to blame (that is--the adult, not the child) because they are fully capable of walking out on their own. They are simply too afraid, or too desperate to do so. Even if it's a "oh I'll kill you if you leave me" great! go to work, super market anything, and call the police, get their asses arrested before they can touch you. What happened here is disgusting, this guy deserves to slowly die... painfully and slowly, but I have to agree, where the hell was the mother?
