Bale is probably starting to find it embarrassing to have done a movie financed by China's Propaganda Service. Well, he should have checked who they were before signing his contract.

And tomorrow the same guys are going to tell Baby Kim to stop installing his wet fire-crackers canons. Wouldn't a Canadair with a water tank be more useful to water the next Fukushima ?

Can the JDF modify the plane?

They can customize it with Ultraman stickers.

The news is he was still alive. He could have die 5 years ago together with Bin Laden, Castro and who else, and that wouldn't have changed much for the world. The interim, if not the succession has been installed for a while.

that reunification with north korea would be unaffordable.

If that was for the dough, they'd ask the world to fund it, as they surely also went to study "how to" with Arafat. They agree on only one thing : There is not one person that wants reunification in South-Korea, most don't dare admitting it publicly but they don't want a reunification in their lifetime (they know what the North is like and they mostly see their taxes going there), 10 guys want to annex the North and they live an Alzheimer patient residency. There is not one person that wants reunification in North-Korea, most want to hear nothing about it (they have no idea what the South is like and they are wondering what to eat next Winter) , 5 guys want to annex the South and they are all in the government and at the head of the army. Yesterday they were 6, it seems. Is it a progress ? The future will tell.

How about he acknowledge Bush's decision to liberate Iraq led

That's not fair to select that detail in the long history of the US screwing Iraq. I don't like Bush Junior, but don't put everything on his shoulders. We could start even before, but the shame of America started at the time of the Iran hostages, no ? I find it surprising that Americans that keep such a vivid memory of Pearl Harbor seem to have totally forgotten the old times when the American super-heroes from Hollywood were considering Saddam as their puppet, coaching and supplying his army with the latest high-tech gadgets only to p... Iran ?

S.U.P.E.R. America has won a game... well a war. Let's all open a can of coca-cola to celebrate !

    100,000 Iraqi

Africa or whatever you call it there is so populated.

    4,500 Americans

Dead nobodies. Not one celeb. They are not even New-York bobos. So boring...

The question of whether it was worth it all is yet unanswered.

That depends on one thing : will Standard & Poor's give back the straight A to America?

I would think that he assumed that I wouldn't know the difference between his name and something else based on the fact that I am not Japanese.

You suggest the Korean fans can't read kanji or kana. Is that what you mean ? I don't think they are all worth a Nobel prize, but I have to met one that dumb. Then, supposing he had done the joke to someone really unable to read, that's still a joke. I'm not fan of Koda, but her name is not an insult.

i would think that if the fan was not offended or at the very least confused by this, they wouldn't have posted it online.

I think the fan posted it because that's funny, There are always to way to look at something.

    An apparent relative?

Could be a lover, or the lover's kids that could very well be his own too. That's not a rare situation. Many crooks don't make their family relations official for that purpose. The money transferred to strangers, presented as payment for businesses services looks normal in accounts, while even one yen to a known relative of a board member would appear as suspect. That said, it's only in case the accountants, auditors, CPAs, and even other board members and institutional shareholders (that are all pro accountants and all know all the tricks) don't want to see what is happening. If they are serious, they check every person/company receiving a check over a certain amount, or many small checks.

Why do they need funds to move ? Maybe we could help them pack their stuff, bring old things to recycle center, board the ferries.

They are here to protect Honshu.

False. They were here to protect against Honshu. I remind you that, unless we go back over 1500 yr ago in history, the only attacker and invader of Japanese islands that ever existed is the US. Surely in 45 nobody in Okinawa nor in Japan asked "please Americans protect us". It's a total theory that Honshu/Japan would need protection. Even if, it's hard to believe the jietai are not able for the task. Now the bases are kept because the US army presence in Asia p*sses off the Chinese, North-Koreans and everybody else. But that protects nada. That was proven (Vietnam for instance) that the US army is unable to prevent China from whatever. Also that's true that gives employment and scholarships to a large number of American youth, at reduced cost of the US taxpayer, since they ransom us in Japan. So in Guam, that would be more costly.

Without them you'd already be lifting your head every morning with a red flag with one big star and four little ones, singing the Chinese national anthem.

    Like the Taiwanese do ?

I find it interesting that people don't want to move into those emergency housing places just because they're "inconvenient." Isn't that better than living in a shelter or on the street? I'm really boggled.

Even homeless people have jobs, activities, a social life. In Osaka, for instance a homeless would need 600 to 1000 yen a day to commute from the city (where he has a garbage sorting job for instance) to the remote shelters in some desert industrial suburb. That's probably the same in Tohoku, or even worse as in the countryside, transportation is even more expensive, or simply impossible if you don't have at least a motorbike. And if they can't afford to commute daily from the shelter to the place where they work, they even lose the little income they usually had to buy food. Plague or cholera ? So what many do is they "camp" as much as they can, and they go to the shelters only when the weather make it dangerous to spend the nights outside.

I'd gladly take a free place of my own, no matter how inconvenient,

    And you'd eat what ?

Why do they always put corn on a pizza?

    They don't.

Well, no cheese sounds crazy right? That's not a pizza.

Who gave you the right to define what a pizza is ? In Napoli, they invented the pizza, and they've done some without cheese from the start. Well the question is "Why do American pizzas all have to look like a giant Welsh rabbit ? ". Well, eat that if that's what you like. At least in Japan, we have many other choices.

Unfortunately eating pizza is bad for health and is almost an established absolute truth now

I'm a different animal. Pizza is healthy for me.

Surely stuff they couldn't sell full price. Like anything they discount. Some persons are certainly buying in a silly way. But that can be stuff you need. For instance, I have most of my towels from discounted fukuburo (I buy one left at the end). I don't care the style, and anyway, they let see through the bags and you can choose one with colors at your taste. I got a pile of quality towels for the price of the same amount of shotengai crap towels that fall apart after 3 times in washing machine.

most things I see in a department store I would never buy anyway,

You are particularly fussy. I could do all my shopping in a department store... if someone else paid.

Now some hotels are offering 'lucky bags'... I don't see how it's a 'lucky bag',

You don't understand the meaning of "surprise luxury item". They propose a number of packages with discounted domestic stays, maybe 1000 over all Japan, and only one contains a big prize (like a coupon for an overseas trip). Idem in fashion stores. Let's say the average 10 000 yen bags all contain 20 000 yen of clothes/accessories. Among the 200 bags, one contains a very expensive item like a Rolex watch. That's why they have to put security staff to prevent people from "choosing " the winning bag or even stealing some.

his life is nothing but work

Oh, let's cry... You think he'd prefer playing golf all days ? He already did golf for a job. Here in Japan and there in France, fine gardening is the fav' hobby of millions of people. He has many people's dream job. And others don't matter, he seems passionated about what he does. That's a nice life.

I highly doubt there were any suggestions that it would be at Pearl Harbor.

That could have been where otherwise ? The WTC towers of New York were not up yet. Seriously, there was no way Japan would even consider attacking/invading the US. They could only attack them in Asia-Oceania. You'd have given me the map at that time, I'd have picked Pearl Harbor as first target, then Guam and the Philippines (which they also did nearly at the same time). The main military spots.

“He wanted war to happen with Germany,” explains Martinez. “The last thing he needed was a two-front war.”

So he had no idea Japan and Germany were allies ? Oh, yeah, he wanted a war only with Germany, not Austria, Japan, Italy... "Hey guys, I'm Frankie, I want to fight only Germany. Others, stay away !".
