Hello? Palestine declared independence in 1988. Many nations recognize this. Israel does not. Plus Israel traded a land occupation for a air, land and sea border occupation. Hence, Israel refuses Palestine's right to exist.
So? They are not the only power in Palestine and since Israel has been denying Palestine's right to exist long before Hamas had any power, its to be expected.
If right to exist were such an issue, then Israel should have recognized Palestine back when it declared independence under Fatah. Can't turn back the clock, so Israel is just going to have to endure.

Muslims quietly went to where they were asked to go.
So why are Muslims getting hell?
Oh, right. Bigotry.

I neither said nor hinted at anything remotely like that. Nor do I predict it or agree with it now.
I could just as easily say that Lieberman has the right of it, and soon the Muslims will rise and take over Europe, instill Shariah law and burn every church to the ground in retaliation, as is clearly written in the Koran. And if we don't slaughter every Muslim man woman and baby, it will surely happen. But what's the point? Just being an annoyance of course. Too bad you can't just discuss or you might learn something.

Apparently Ben, you expect Hamas to recognize Israel's right to exist while Israel denies Palestine's right to exist. Good luck with that buddy.

But what proof is there that she intentionally wasted police time? And that in itself will be a waste of taxpayer money! So congratulations on such a hypocritical statement!

Is 21 years too long? And what is the evidence against him? Mainly that he forgot to say "It was just a pass!". That's pretty much it, because we can be sure his DNA got on her if he tried to kiss her, just like his DNA got on the maid's uniform since he says it was consensual.
Hmmm....don't see anyone saying he is guilty in the Banon case.
But, what was said by the DSK side before this? They said her claims were "imaginary". Pretty strong characterization to now come out and say "Oh, it was a pass!" If innocent, why not say that in the first place?
However, in this case, I would certainly like to hear more. In the maid's case, I heard plenty. And what was the proof in the maid's case that tossed the case out? Her cred. That's it! I am afraid Banon might have better cred. I would think that would mean you would think he is guilty, so I am confused why you advocate those charges against Banon. You know something about her I don't?

Ben Jackinoff, what does your post really have to do with this? If the Palestinians wind up isolated like North Korea for their beliefs, so be it. Its neither here nor there. They have a right to an independent state either way.

My post is not very popular. Calling a spade a spade never is. Ask your friends overseas what a geisha is. I bet they will say prostitute and/or give very low brow and clueless descriptions. As former trailer trash I know I used to and I know why. But I learned.

What proof would you like?
Part of the problem with rape cases is that good proof is not recognized nor demanded sometimes. Their stories, told without hearing the other, for example. Those tell help give a clue who is full of it. Well in this case, that well is already tainted and the last one, we never got DSK's story.
So I ask you, what proof would you like? Because if a guy can just dismiss rape by claiming it was consensual, and dismiss attempted rape by saying it was just a pass, what proof could we ever have?

Tragic, but yes, it does seem the spectators were waaaaayyy to close to the action, and no pillars, no ceiling, no nothing to protect them. The video I saw makes it appear that they were actually standing on the runway. I don't know, but it sure did not look like a grandstand to me.
Unfortunately, the video only shows after the crash. In the article someone says the pilot did everything to avoid the crowd, but I cannot see how anyone could say that from the ground. Pilot was 80, and I am thinkiing that might well have had something to do with it. I got no problem with such an old person flying, but in a race like this? That's just a bad idea.

Well, you can't quite know about the "whole time" until its over can you? But you can tell people who have diarhea of the mouth for whatever reason.
I will talk to people who talk to me, and don't start conversations much as I prefer silence. But if they talk, so will I. I will get an idea of them as we talk. When I think I am talking to someone who can't take a hint, I will still talk beyond my enjoyment or actual tolerance and move into ignoring them both as a test and because I am beyond my tolerance. Let it go for a while then tell ask them point blank to let me read my book or let me sleep. If they can't handle that I will start being direct and tell them they need to learn some self-control or something. Nicely, but direct.

Thon, put yourself in the shoes of someone who wants to abduct a child for a minute. Scouting parking lots is not so hard but very time consuming. You just sit in your car. So many cars have signs indicating there is a child in the car. Such a car drives by, you watch. Mother gets out of car. She does not put a key in the lock. There is no flash of llights to indicate she locked it. And, there is no child in her arms. Its just a matter of patience.
Gloves or a handkerchief would mean no fingerprints as they test that door. And if there are prints? Good luck finding whose they are. Most people are not in the system.

Here we go again! A very general statement from him, once again going from "never happened" to something benign and general, this time "Oh, I made a pass!". Last time it was, "Oh, it was consensual!"
Meanwhile the other side offers clear specifics and details such as wrestling, being grabbed, going for jeans, and having to kick and punch to get away. And she will be grilled until her story changes, because details never change if its a true story even if somebody grills you day after day. Riiiight!
Meanwile, DSK just repeats "I tried to kiss her, but she refused, so I did not persist". But nobody will ask him the same questions or the same number of questions that Banon will be asked such as what were you wearing? Where was your other hand? Were you wearing perfume? What brand? What time was it? And then what happened? And THEN what happened? Etc.
The only thing I know for sure is that DSK knows how to take advantage of psychology and the status quo.

Gee, they just could not call them an obstruction and quietly move them. No. No. They just had to bow to the rightists and the anti-immigration people and call it an affront to secularism. So what's next? Muslim man prays over his dying wife after a car accident and the French authorities will "put an end to it"?
Its almost like they enjoy the controversy, anger, and riots.

That in itself is interesting. If you ask people to assign a fine, they generally will. But I look at that and say "No fine".
I do my best not to let semantics control the flow of thought. I wish language would be constructed to better prevent that happening, because too many people are very weak-minded with regards to semantics.

There is a FAT difference between giving women access and labeling them an "untapped resource". They are not going to flood the job market and entrepreneurial slots for gaining access. And a campaign to get them to will mean far less intensive child rearing, leading to a lower birthrate, even worse obesity, and dumber kids. But that is exactly what the short-term profiteer mindset will do by coaxing more women to focus on careers than motherhood.
Access and equality are great and fine. Some women will shine brightly with those. But to think it applies to large numbers of women is pie in the sky, wide-eyed dreaming. To think the best environment for kids is to have both parents working outside the home is madness. This should be accomodated, but not encouraged.

Maybe using the word "entertainer" would have helped. Not that your average plebian can really understand the concept of having enough pocket change to pay a woman to dance for you either, anymore than they would go to a live public performance. The only private performance they want from a women involves you know what, thus the misunderstanding.

I sure would like to hear more about these tests. Is the animal feed also being subjected to tests?
Are they inspecting cattle or beef?
Safety measures such as? Washing hands perhaps? Wearing gauze masks? Making the cows gargle?
