Double glazing solar pannales insulation, these all reduce the amount of cash available to old men who serve no purpose other than getting paid a large amount of money to serve no purpose. They need a Nuclear future not the rest of us.

It's a perfect storm, high debt, low pay, tax up, no so much spending, low birth rate, company's moving off shore. And the political leaders wringing their hands and saying all is well. Guess this will end...in a bubble burst. Small bubble pop. Print more money devalue the yen more and more increasing debt. Great.

A neo-Nazi group that alone is enough surely. For those uneducated or been educateded in Japan Nazies are bad now and forever. There is no reason at all for a photo opportunity with a nazi.

To assume that any mainstream media in Japan tells or investigated journalists actually do their job would be a huge leap of faith. They need their media card to attend any conference it's communist system with the cover of democracy, LDP in the driver seat for 60 odd years?

The culture argument is pathetic.
It's all about tax payers supporting a dubious industry and paying a series of grey companies staffed by ex beauracrats.
It's a scam that is hiding under the cover of culture. Japan is paying land locked countries for their vote and ignoring sovrenty and the wishes of countries that consider themselves the guardians of a pristine ocean. Great job Japan.

If the Government stopped giving Tax payer money to this "Industry" and it was self supporting. Profiting from sales rather than gouging all Tax payers, it might garner more support? Also keep it in local waters, reduce the amount stored in freezers, cease focing children to consume it. These simple actions would solve many problems, but I fear the industry would collapse as it's unviable and obviously only there due to old politicians who remember with nostalgia their childhoods when eating blubber was preferable to starvation.
