I am shocked...people WANT to spend time with their family? Give me little to do for 12 hours a day and a requirement to stay for another 2 because no one should leave first. Getting my work done quickly and going home .....the idea is absurd.

Just give every member of the government 1000,000 yen a month and be done with it, they need money to pay for the deprravity that they need.

The Chinese might have obsolete equipment (I don't think all of it) but they have numbers. The Russians were believed to have obsolete equipment but managed to crush the best of German engineering by weight of numbers. War is not an option it's a disaster. Apparently there are smarter people than me pushing this, but I do feel that an accommodation by both sides could be reached, and I am not talking about a Chambalin "peace in our time" type. The cost of a conflict in people and national revenue are astronomical and saddening, no one wants to be bombed or have to be told their child is dead. This hyped up aggressive posture by both sides historically has never ended well. Oops that's right neither side recognises History.

She asked for help, the Police gave a stern warning, and she is killed in front of her Daughter, at 4.30 in the afternoon 100m from a Koban. Stern warnings are not enough it would seem. I like the idea of physic assement and a court order much more than stern warnings and Police making phone calls. Might inconvenience some but might save others.

For such a secretive and non transparent government system the need for such draconian laws would bode ill for everyone. A 10 year sentence for....anything the government deems. Add the 99% conviction rate and a judicial system that rubber stamps any incarceration for anyone bought before it. A perfect storm. We are lucky Japanese people are not so complient.

Why are politicians still working (very loose term) at this age? Money? is it that obvious. I remember another politician who claimed 40million yen cash was savings and another who had gold bars hidden. All were past the retirement age. All were Law makers , while being Law breakers.

Shhh be careful a stream like this could be seen as decent and a way of compromiseing state security.
What is needed is a system of re-education centres that both promote love of country and install a healthy love for ones leaders. I was just told Mr Abe got 18 holes in one! That is amazing he must be special.

Protectionism at its finest. The last thing Japan needs is cheaper, better quality goods available to the masses. It would only cause confusion.

Welcome back Zichi. You predicted everything. Have missed you. I am worried about this whole procedure, goes wrong it's a massive disaster. Really really don't want to be intwined in another not of my own doing. I would and am paying more for a light, just wish it did not come with so much concern.

Considering to become a Detecive in the Police farce requires time on job with a capacity to mmmm "socialise" and no official training beyond a non mandatory course run by the most successful available retired Detectives from that area...filling out a form does appear to be gruelling enough. Certainly the results have....whoops, is this really you bike?, please write a letter promising never to do it again. I going to use my angry face if you do not confess. Respect my authority would be an easy one to use on a hapless council worker who assumed all was official. 1000 conciliatory lines will fix that, perhaps a pay cut until Christmass might be in order.
