The fact is the Imperial Japanese Army had a system of organised rape, and wantonly raped outside of this system. Unfortunately the current politicians seem to be so proud of this they actually make the argument that these girls were lucky and were well paid and thankful to be continually raped by these strapping soldiers.

People seem to be trying to dilute the issue by claiming that it was common practice to rape! Forgetting that The Imperial Japanese Army kidnapped, and bought women specifically for sex. Also just raped (on a massive scale)for the hell of it. The Japanese Imperial Army set a very low bar for conduct and showed such a lack of disciple that even today no country "Liberated" has fond memories of their Liberation. Evidence is plentiful but if you have blinkers on I guess it's hard to see.
Also many English, American, Australian, French, German troops were hung for rape...how many Japanese troops?

Many other countries import their energy and have done for decades! To blame this as the reason for deficit is absurd. Exports are dropping because Japan is no longer producing goods like it did. Sellable goods. 24 months of decline and the government are not concerned?

Gov't aims to curb iPhone influence, why?
From the article it appears they believe Japanese companies can not compete and they want to change the rules to stop this and customer choice. Japan's cell phone net work is already "unique" as phones bought in Japan can be used no where-else and phones from other countries can not be used here. Again the consumer suffers to protect companies that are not innovative or relavent globally. With the lowering of the yen it's in danger of just making parts competing with China for business.

Children die in school pools every year, put them 10+ years latter in a natural environment with even less supervision than at school...... disaster. Didn't Prefectures import life guards from Australia, and other countries? Couldn't they teach at schools unfettered?

There should be no window! Why this idea of a time limit? If proof is found than it's found what on earth has a time limit on justice. The mothers could be sued for spending the husbands money on their illegitimate child. A man can be held responsible for producing offspring out side of marriage? It's actually another example of Japanese politicians just being unable to pass laws that are competent or relevant to 2014. Guess they are too busy doing......?

It's not official until regestereded at city hall, with a Hunko. Totally inappropriate way to regester families. Stalkers get access and abused mums shun registering leaving children outside the system. The system needs to be changed. It's ridiculous to expect a cockholed father to be responsible for the offspring of a wife who has no respect for him.

Sam if it's not the governments responsibility to ensure its citizens are safe, educated has access to medical treatment and food, guess we don't need a Government at all. For the 3rd biggest economy it's a disgrace.

Russian Foreign affairs minister is on holidays as are his deputies! That's what the Australian Government has been told. Recordings have been released with a Pro-Russian commander boasting of downing what he thought was a Ukrainian plane, The EU investigators were allowed on site for 70 minutes but were told by hooded armed pro-Russian militia to leave. A man called Igor Stelkove has claimed responsibility a leader of pro-Russian militia. Russia claims the aircraft should not have been flying on this route. Apparently it was the air rafts fault?
