And they (The sister and her husband) couldn't work out that something was a little strange with her over all these years? Even with mental illness in this country families ignore that the person is ill and treat everything as normal. That's mainly because the society frowns upon it and even if the person is a little odd it is covered up. Saw a similar incident several years ago. Things are going to get tougher under the current economic strain and people cracking from not being able to pay rent or think that there is no help available will invariably end up the same way.

It seems as though the police here use guns more on themselves than on criminals.

Daimler tried to make a go of doing the right thing by Chrysler and improve their products, share chassis systems and so on, but the internal arrogance and selfishness of Chrysler(namely the unions) had them shoot themselves in the foot. The looks of their cars are nice, but the internals are terrible. A good comparison is that a few years ago I rented a Hyundai on a B'trip and when you open the boot or trunk all the wiring was covered. On a top line Chrysler all the wiring is exposed. These are small things, but makes the larger picture of the whole product look bad. People don't buy the car only on the styling. You don't only get customers on the price. Take Audi for example they are increasing their prices yet they remain until even now one of the only companies that have been immune to the downturn. Thier sales have increased. I don't think I need to explain why.

It is nobel that some of these companies are taking certain acitions versus profit to amend the situation, but what is worrying is that there are countless others that will say nothing until they get caught. Or not caught at all.

So tkoind2 How did the girl get your number in the first place?

Seiyu looks like most other Japanese supermarkets and there are many that are on the decline with the excemption of a few I guess. Rather than keep what they have under the current business structure which as the story states they will close stores which has gone on for a few years now for this company they should think a bit more creatively (if that's at all possible!!!) think out of the box and make a new shopping concept which will still be a round about copy of something that is available in another country in the world, but still different. If it is different then maybe this nail that sticks out may not be hammered down! Some of the German supermarkets that I've seen have got better concepts and standards, but Ii don't know how or what Wal-marts intentions are for the Japanese market as they seemed to have put money into a dud business and really from the media reports haven't been overly pro-active.
