So funny on hear from the bleeding heart pro-whalers;"but they threw stink bombs", so we had to respond with concussion grenades, LRAD'S,( which have been pointed at flying helicopters in an attpt to destroy them & peopleon board), steel grappling hooks, bamboo poles causing serious injury to another human being, but THEY are" terrorists". YEAH RIGHT! is easy to see here who the violent "terrorists" are, J-whalers, & traveling 1/2 way around the world to do it & force their imperialistic behavior on others who choose to have whales protected in their part of the world.

& yes you are right anglootaku, yes laws of a sovereign state have been broken, & yes the Aus gov should not have pussie footed around, they should have taken the same line as the Chilean gov last yr when Nishan Maru wanted to enter their EEZ, & they clearly stated to the J gov, "if the NM enters our EEZ we have 2 naval vessel ready & monitoring it, if it crosses our EEZ by 1ft we will board it, arrest the Capt & crew & impound the vessel." NO GAMES!

Sorry! Should have read; Japanese whaling vessels, or support vessels, are NOT ALLOWED, within Aus territorial waters. This is Aus law which concerns ALL vessels entering Aus EEZ, just as Japan has rules re vessels within it's territorial waters, eg Chinese fishing boats :)

What a lot of pro-whaling posters on here have failed to take into consideration is the 1999 Wildlife conservation & preservation act in Aus, passed after the Humane Society International took Senpaku to the High Court of Aus & won, NO Japanese whaling vessels, or support vessels, are NOT ALLOWED within Aus territorial waters. Not just 12 or 24nm limits, BUT NOT LEGALLY ALLOWED within Aus EEZ, 200nm. So the SM2 & the YM3 have both broken Aus laws & should have been boarded & impounded by Aus CG or Navy :)

What do you mean, doesn't everyone keep a cool 400 mil around the house ¬ know where it came from? Nothing to see here, move along, it is Japan after all & we all know Japan is UNIQUE...

Let's see how USNinjapan replies to this. Oh that's right he is US military so would not respond to an article showing US service men in their true light.

Funny I can't find the first story about Aus gov requesting to Jgov to keep the whaling fleet out of Aus EEZ & territorial waters? & not just the SM2, the YM3 has also entered Aus waters, within 8nm of land...

Ossan & USNinjapan FYI I & others have been recently commenting on not the SM2's incursion, but the YM3, which in case you haven't follow international media reports came within 8nm of Aus coast. & you cannot say oh it's not a whaling vessel, it clearly has painted on it's side "RESEARCH", it also has a loaded harpoon on it's prow!

Great to see here, Heda, Ossan & others jumping up & down the second a Chinese fishing boat has entered Jteritorial waters, yet when a Jwhalimg/fishing waters enter. Aus territorial waters it is fine! How about Aus CG or better still navy blow these Jvessels out of the water in our waters just as you call for against Chinese, or would you consider this "racist" but if Japanese do it is ok? Cant have it both ways! So which is it, Jvessels can hunt & encroach on other nations territorial waters, but no-one can to Japan, or Japan happy to open up it's waters to Chinese & Russians, just as it considers Aus waters Japanese now apparently? This goes to you "ItsMe" as well. Can't wait to see Glenn Inwoods who millions of Jtaxpayers money goes to every yr, has to say in response for this incursion! & just invade it does not get reported in Jmedia, Google Aus gov warns Jwhalimg vessels on incursions

GPS position recorded at the time of boarding clearly show the SM2 within Aus territorial waters, & just as Wiki leaked documents show from the time of the Ady Gil ramming the Aus gov is willing to lie & cover up for Capt Crackhead Komura & his crew. So I guess now he truly believes no maritime laws apply to him or the SM2.

Seems the Jmedia is trying to sensationalize this a little, first the three are NOT Sea Shepherd activist, second it was NOT a whaling ship according to the Jgov, otherwise it would not be allowed by law within Aus EEZ. So which is it? Either a whaling vessel has broken Aus laws, or the Jmedia & press releases from the ICR are making up lies again!

So. Ossan is the vessel part Of the Jwhalimg fleet, therefor ILLEGAL within the Aus EEZ, or is it JGD which means it has no maritime or legal rights within Aus waters, eg witin 24ml of Aus coastal lands?

Interesting situation, of an Aus coast guard vessel was within Japanese coastal territory, eg 24nm, & was boarded by Japanese activists then left Japanese territorial waters then it would be called kidnapping by Jpress, yet they feel a JCG vessel has rights within Aus territorial waters? What right does Aus CG have within Japanese waters? & if it is not a JCG vessel, but intact a Jwhalimg vessel then it is ILLEGAL for it to enter the Aus EEZ Either way the SM2 has a legal obligation to return the activists to Aus soil to face Aus law NOT Japanese

Nice to see Hosono was wearing a radiation suit, is he going to give the people these too, or just the standard paper face mask?

Of course, because the Jgov has stated;"there are no immediate health risks",(shame about the long term ones!). Move along, nothing to see here...

Ahh, except you forgot to mention "at me", the gov, & TEPCO, rebuked SPEEDI's & outside professionals advice, &.in doing so kept people inside the danger zone there, so therefor said people evakuate, or suffer the consequences. I for one would have evacuated, as current relasesvhavr shown was the correct decision, & should be compensated just as others.

Except they have no right & would never stand up in a court of law, & would increase international media attention, &therefore independent investigations which would bring to light to the rest of the world the transgressions carried out by a so called open, & democratic government.
