tmarie, you'd make an awfull boss. You should not let other's actions bother you. If they get away taking smoking breaks in every hour, maybe you can start looking at something you like in internet, but shouldn't bring that fact to your boss. I am in same situation, dont' like smoking and don't appreciate others doing it often, but would never bring it to my manager and complain about others. Each person is responsible of their actions. If they can get away taking breaks often, that's their concern,(or ablility) not yours.

so, if anyone contradicts the government's explanation of events, they are conspiracy theorists and their beliefs should be combatted? I wish we were living in that perfect world where governments wouldn't lie, politicans are the most honest people in the world and their objectives are truly making the world better place to live. But unfortunately, we don't.

Neither. The part that they are gone is sad for us becuase we won't enjoy their presence anymore, but them being fired or resigned by themselves matters less. They must have believed that they are solving the problem by this act and we can only hope it was right decision. I'm saying that because we don't know what's waiting us on the other side.

Vending machines can be, but most of the advertising lights are on only at night no? anyway, don't have time to go and search for that data. I know though, saving one hour on streetlights will matter a lot. Especially freeway lights which is 1000W HID lights for each one. There are hundreds of thousands of them all over Japan. saving just one hour on those will be significant saving.

Lights are still a huge source of energy consumption. Streetlights, highway lights, lights for advertising, lights on vending machines are drawing lots of energy. Saving just one hour of all that will matter a lot. daylight saving time is a proven method of energy saving. It used to be hard to change the time manually on all those computers, but today they are all linked to time servers and changing the time on a server will change times in all client PC's. So if Japan wants to conserve energy, they should seriously consider switching to daylight saving just like other countries.

Cars will also use less gas if they do not have their headlights on.
Someone needs to go to car school.
That's not entirely untrue. Alternator of a car will turn easier if current is not being pulled, aka lights. But the difference is so small, don't know if it worth mentioning.

I would die before leaving my dogs behind, and happily camp out in a car or a park if shelters don't take my dogs in. It's not a choice, it's the only way I know.

Let's see if being stubburn will help Japan at all, or will it backfire? Being a former resident of house next to Russian Embassy, I've heard enough protests over last 10 years. It only bothered people like me and had absolutely no effect on Russians changing their minds. Also completely agree with AdamB, Japan was the agressor and that was the price they paid.

This is MAD!! Funk the bracelet, he should rot in jail for this. What can possibly motivate a 20 year old boy to slash a little girl 15 times in face? Total maddness!! He should have no place in society.

Definately not! CO2 produced by humans does not cause any kind of global warming. It's not a myth, but straight forward lies.

When laws are protecting the profit of these killers, good people have the responsibility to protect these great animals from painful death. Seasheperd are heroes. No matter what you say, there are people like me who love what they are doing and will support them forever.
