womanforwomen,
Ok, you haven't seen the documentary, but you're sure that it is violent and beligerent toward the Japanese people. You seem upset that Ric O'barry is attacking Japanese culture in one sided matter. But again you haven't seen the movie, because you don't like seeing animals tortured to death. Is it the day of the month? Why are you upset?

Same here. They say they can't quit not becuase it would look like giving in. This is same as admiting that the only reason they are killing these animals is becuase how it would look. Pride Japan, it has proved itself to be false ambition. Let go, make people of the earth happy. Let these magnificent creatures live.

Killing of the oceans by yakuza fishermen must be stopped. They care about nothing but their pockets.

I have seen it, but want to take my friends to the cinema and see it again if it's shown. There's nothing in the movie that demonize Japanese people. Ric and others say that this is done by small minority of people, most Japanese don't even know it's happeneing. It's no way attacking Japan and culture, it's uncovering a fact that is being hidden. Japanese people have a right to know and decide themselves if the purpose of this movie is Japan bashing, or is it being filmed by true nature lovers to expose killing of these magnificent creatures.

What are they trying to hide? Could it be that even they are ashamed of what's being done? Aren't they affraid if this is known by general public, there will be an opposition? Their so proud culture will be questioned? Yabanjins!!

Because of this belief, Israel has one of the biggest arsenal of nuclear weapons. Sure I can say all my friends try to kill me and stock all the weapons I can get. But would it be because we believe in same god in different ways? Or would it be because I took what belonged to them unfairly.

Can you give us an example of these increased religious militance you're talkign about? Relationship between Israel and Turkey was damaged when Israel attacked schools and hospitals during the latest offensive in Gaza and Turkish president questioned their usage of extreme power against defensless people. There's nothing religious about Turkey's stand on Israel. Is this religious militance?

And the head of Japan fisheries agency has said that the only way Japan would cease their whaling operation is when all whales are endangered.

There's nothing about killing godly creatures that can be environmentally friendly.

They already have. Even in countries far from this discussion (that I happen to visit last month) I was hearing how a developed country like Japan still killing dolphins and whales and insisting that rest of the world opinions does not matter. When Japan comes to mind, the words samurai, ninja, and electronics and cars are also accompanied by killing whales and dolphins, stubborn ignorance of world opinion. Just like North Korea in nuclear issue.

"If Japan were to begin breeding Whales or dolphins soley for consumption, I can imagine the uproar by the Aussies. lol... "
This is where you're wrong. If Japan attempted farming these animals, it would be lot harder to complain, protest. When they are taking it from the wild, it's same as they are killing the creatures we want to preserve, and that is the biggest issue.

This is great news!!! Thanks Autralia for taking Japan to the Int'l court over this. Shame on Japan for insisting on killing these beautiful creatures and shame on all who are supporting these killers.

Not all drugs, but just decriminalizing cannabis would drive the drug dealing business to halt. I don't think synthetic drugs should be legalized. But a plant, a gift from god, should bot be classified as same as checmical mixtured humans came up with. I think most dealers survive because of cannabis sales. If it's legalized, they won't be able to survive, selling hard drugs. They won't be able to push dangerous chemicals to youngsters, who came to get cannabis. Remove cannabis from criminals product list by legalizing it, and I'm sure this will reduce the crime.

Isn't anyone worried about carbon footprint of a vending machines? They are everywhere and each has heater and cooler. I'm sure, the reason Japan night map is shining so bright is the number of vending machines in this country.

"A Japanese would not do so unless music was too loud"
Yes, they would, they are and they have been. Just seeing your comments is a proof enough that there are some Japanese hates the fact that foreigners are working in their country, earning their money, send it away and support seasheperd with it too. Sorry, but this will not end. Remember there are more Japanese living outside of Japan than the amount of foreigners living in Japan. How would you like them to be treated the same way?

Do they give a damn about who recognizes what? Do they care about the international opinion? Or US opinion? Do they care about being fair? Are they model human beings, or a threat to world peace? I only have questions.

Another case that proves that not everyone should be allowed to have child. It must be regulated, necessary education must be given to all potential mothers. What is more imporatant than raising a healthy child? How can we allow just anyone to take on a hard job like being a mother (and father), without having the proper knowledge? I think it's very necessary.
