Yes, Israel would be getting lotsa cool points if they agreed to this. But highly unlikely. Their flag is a symbol that all the lands between two rivers is their land. I would be very surprised if they saddle anything less than this.

Why not? Who would believe anything they say, if they shot the movie in another place? Like the Midnight Express. This is not fictional, it's showing exactely what's happening at which place. Surely it's not in film makers interest to lie about this. They don't have to lie, it is happening.

You know how I know that it's a lie? Because it's not in the interest of filmmakers to lie about something like that. Plus, the don't need to show somewhere else because this is mostly happening in Taiji. I've seen the movie, have you? Unless someone points out which scene is not filmed in Taiji, it's a lie, they are liers.

If any J director tried to film it, he would have been assulted badly by the Taiji local yakuza and fisherman (actually the same thing). If he filmed it, showing that they defied warnings and went into the prohibited area, they'd be arrested, film would be confiscated and they'd serve jail sentence. Just like the greenpeace two, who tried to expose large embasselment with J-whaling program. Don't you know that already?
