I don't think it's fair that Okinawa is bearing most of the burden in hosting half of all the U.S. bases while Mainland Japan is less burden. Tokyo should really listen to the Okinawan who suffer mainly from congested cities with the bases, noise pollution and crimes commited by U.S. personnel.
Okinawans are clearly fed up with all of it and been screwed by the DPJ after all the broken promises.
Maybe if Japan can take some of the burden off of Okinawa by moving the most of the bases into the Mainland. even though it's not strategically smart, but they just want the general public, the Mainlanders, to understand their pain.
speaking of which, several Host cities in the mainland already know the pain, with the noise pollution and the night training that disturb the neighborhood and are generally annoying.

Japan "Top" 3, pop or Biggest 3. Not the only three. Other JPN automakers had made profits, Subaru in particular. Mazda and Suzuki are progressing nicely.

I'm really for it, but as long as there are having the children and safety of students and staff in mind, I guess. But all firearms should be locked and hidden away from view. maybe a emergency lock box. and make sure the firearms isn't loaded, for fear of accidently discharged.
I'm against the assault rifle ban, mainly because it will give the criminals who already own and/or can obtain them illegally a huge advantage over law-abiding citizens.

all news are basically talking banning of assault rifles and hi-capacity weapons, but what about the handguns, pistol and revolvers and shotguns and hunting rifles? would those be banned/ regulated as well.
If the ban ever pass and turns into a law, what would happen to the existing firearms currently own by civilians? would they force them to turn it over to law enforcement and authorities?

no point in complaining about him, now. I just hope he can fix Japan's most serious issues.

while banning firearms to reduce and ultimately prevent gun violence is a good idea, but for USA, it's not probable.
the 2nd Amendment, Right to bear arms, have been here since the birth of America. it's provides citizens with the opportunity to protect themselves whenever danger suddenly appear. Law enforcement authorities cannot be everywhere to protect everyone at all times.
America is not Japan that had little gun violence, or weapons violence since civilians are banned to own weapons since the 16th century when Toyotomi Hideyoshi confiscated all weapons from all classes except the samurai class.
Even if America banned sales of firearms like assault weapons or handguns, they can just buy them on the black market trade. Criminals still get their firearms on the black market and on the street. If the gun control ban is enacted, it still wouldn't be effective, as this won't affect the criminal with guns. it just means they may now have the upper hand when law-abiding citizens cannot protect themselves.

Japan made much effort to improve the Taiwan's economy, industry, public works and to change its culture during it's rule between 1895-1945. After the Chinese Civil War, the Nationalist "Kuomintang" migrated to Taiwan and made themselves the ruling party.
