or just get a proper housing for your normal home digi-cam. One mask does not fit all so if you are tempted by this please try it on first and do not buy by mail order or you will be wasting your money. If you have a poor fitting mask it will fill with water then the cross hairs will be useless!!!

wake up world!!! This is not just about fat cats in Wall Street. Construction firms are already failing because they usually buy materials on credit, who is going to lend to small start ups? Plus have you evaluated your pension recently? Pretty much unless you are a civil servant you are probably deeply impacted already.

The public can help too - what is the point in selling at a huge loss? The markets will bounce - they have too - so hang in there (my opinion as I am not qualified to give advice on that)

On the BBC clip I saw he used some pole to go at the police - one took qute a hit on his riot shield then when they though stuff it and charged him he jumped back in the moat.

jerseyboy obviously know nothing about rugby. Rugby fans are much more friendly - heck you don't even need to segregate the fans in the stadium.

Plus I need to get some benefit from my taxes spent on all those stadia for the football WC of which some are barely used

DeepAir - How could you forget Sarah Palin's name?

Easy - I turn off the news when they start talking about US elections! Can't remember the name of Obabma's running mate - did he name one yet? - so it's all even. And let's face it he/she is much more likely to be VP - right?

How about some original journalism - a similar article was on the BBC but it has now disappeared into the archives.

All those people in the US and elsewhere moaning about the fat cats - they are a minority. What is going to happen to your pension? What is going to happen when banks can't/won't give you a loan for your small business? etc etc

And anyone that complained about SOX is going to find that a dream after the legislation that will follow this.

Do I like that fact that tax payers money will go to rescue banks? No. But, honestly, what are the alternatives?

The Chinese politbureau or whatever it is called must be wetting themselves with laughter!

Salary question is a waste of time - I leave that to HR and the recruitment consultants to thrash out.

From an interviewers point of view (been so long since I was on the other side) the question that seems to be so difficult to answer is "What do you know about this company and why do you want to join us?" Invariably I get "it's a good company" - failed!!! Last time I changed jobs the internet was in it's infancy (anyone else feel a Monty Python moment coming on? "Tell the kids today...") but I knew more about my target company than any 10 people I interview - put together... :-(

If Japan does not get it then we know the duffers in the IRB really don't want to further the game. Giving Japan the junior WC next year is not the same as the main event though I will do my best to support the event next year.

so sad - but it will create more jobs as they will now employ security guards and systems at depots.

This is just the start. Last time I was in the UK you could not see out of the windows as the "graffeti" was "etched" into the windows - can't just wash that away with solvent...

We first came across this when our neigbours 2yo could not come out to play because he was "studying" for his Keio University pre-School entrance exam!

Japanese children never seem to get a childhood and it is very sad. By playing with other children they do not get to develop their social skills and the rest, as they say, is history.

Still at least they are more polite to adults than American and Russian teenagers!

Be interesting to see if an artist waved his/her/their radio playing fees for a year to see how much air time they get and now many more albums they sell...

All said and done artists need to get paid or musci will get very boring.

Iron Man is OK - saw it on a flight last month, a JAL flight! But I would wait for the DVD rental rather than pay 1,800 yen to see it in the movie theatre

The biggest thing to hit the Japanese property market in recent years is not sub prime but the crazy laws introduced on June 2007 that crippled the industry for some time and some analysts claim reduced the Japanese GDP by over 1% - that's not a 1% drop in GDP but bringing it down by 1% from for example 3% to 1%.

The FIEL legislation in 2007 also brought GDP down by about the same according to some analysts - so what is harming the Japanese economy? THE JAPANESE GOVERNMENT

Good to hear someone saying not a problem with sub prime for a change.

not a smoker of any kind but I believe it you make it legal it will take the point of using it away from most people - can't be a rebel if it is legal! Treat it in a similar way to alcohol but make it zero tolerance if you are driving, operating heavy equipment etc.

Now, if they could just pass a law...or yknow get people to keep their kids from jumping up and down in the front/back seats of cars instead of being strapped in properly then we`ll be making some progress!

there is such a law but they choose to ignore it. from october I believe they will stop educating people and start to fine and give points

To save money buy an Oyster card — an electronic card that serves as your ticket. You get reduced fares for a single trip — down to about $3 from $8 for a Tube trip within the central city and $1.80 instead of $4 for a bus ride.

Why are they telling the world this? The secret is out - London uses tourist mugs to subsidise transport - bet Boris is not happy about this!

London is very similar to Tokyo when it comes to dining out - if you know where you are going then you can get reasonable deals. Tourists normally don't know where to go.

Just round the corner from Stockpot (was just talking about this last night - spooky) is Won Kei (apologies for spelling) famous rude Chinese restaurant on Wardour Street - secret is go in as a group and just order a meal for however many people you are, forget the menu!

And yes many restaurants in teh West End have good lunch deals - at least they did when I last worked there 12 years ago. Even Fortnum and Mason does a reasonable lunch and sure to impress - as does a box of cookies for granny back home!
