    a couple of things:

    1. Is it legal for a 12 year old to use gaming web sites here? I think in the west you have to be of a legal age. If it is not perhaps that is why it took so long to come to the surface

    2. From his point of view what does it matter his age - making these kind of threats is not acceptable whether she be 12, 22, 52 or 102...

Just recently as a hiring manager I took someone with less experience but all the languages we need for Asia and it worked out very well indeed.

2 weeks ago there were only 10 team places left out of a max 200 so a bigger event this year. I am sure that they would appreciate your help manning checkpoints though.

The new route through daiyuuzan saijo-ji is fantastic - the temple is huge and we want to go back and see it in daylight! (out training last weekend and we finished rather late - planned)

drop baseball, synchronised swimming, rythm gynmastics (whatever the hell that is!) Definitely add Rugby 7's - I think there are many more rugby playing nations than baseball. How many African nations play baseball? Also - how about adding Rally Driving or motor cross?

if you got full treatment, lucky you

I'm a local hire so paying my own way but I know many ex-pats, and most of them not executives, and they have their fees paid for.

Why I don't think this article is up to much is because it seems to be concentrating on the foreigners. Check out the first line again:

It’s been said that one of the major reasons Japanese couples don’t have more children is because of the costs involved in raising children.

As stormcrow says the biggest cost for Japanese couples is accommodation and not schools - going to an international school is pretty much out of reach for the average Japanese and not just because of money - they also require the kids to speak English (for the most part).

Also let's not forget that having a baby is expensive as it is not covered by the Japanese health insurance - and now they've taken away the 300,000 yen "present"

I am normally a fan of Terrie's articles but I do not see the point of this one?!?! Nothing new or unexpected here - and don't worry about the cost of kids for the ex-pat family as usually the schools and country clubs are paid for.
