is it wifi compatible? Most skype phones here require a USB connection which would defeat the object as most PC's have built in cameras these days or much cheaper cameras you can attach through USB.

Yes you can call on Skype on your iPhone using wifi - voice only though.

eBook prices need to come down too - I don't understand why they charge about the same price as for a paper book when there is much less overhead. I know amazon have brought some of their prices down but I don't like their propriety format...

but do they do English? Or other languages for that matter.

I think the developers are missing a trick as these kind of devices are becoming much more popular abroad and the Japanese firms have a much longer history in making these devices.

Mind you they are so complicated the average one comes with manuals that put the London phone book to shame! Please make a simplified version like they do for phones for the young and old.

To be honest I think they are both behaving like school bullies - but I guess that is the usual way when doing business with Japan, just ask the 6 Nations talks etc...

Spinsters pretending it's cold when it isn't, and shivering, wrapping themselves up in blankets like they've just been winched out of the sea the instant the temperature drops below 27.

how could I forget that one! I remember one wearing a hat as well and complaining it was too cold - this was in July and I was visibly sweating in a short sleeve shirt!

mobile phones in the office - why can't these people redirect their calls? I don't notice a normal desk phone going off as it is office noise but some annoying ringtone (or even a normal one for that) makes me break my concentration

the 3rd reason not to buy is that the international warranties are not worth the paper they are printed on. Maybe that has changed since my experience 9 years ago.

In British English, adding 'Love' whilst addressing people at the end.

don't go down the west counrey then because it will change to "lover"...

My pet hate - "let's touch base" and in Japan when talking to officials to try and get something changed "well you're not Japanese..."

she had custody - he abducted the boy. Are the custody rights in Japan fair? I would say not, but who does this help?

defending your own country is fine but that is not the question. Anyone who invades another country is declaring war but can/should that be ever justified?

    I say no!

We flew Jetstar to GC in April on one of their promotions and it was great - easily better than when we went to Cairns on Qantas...

But who is Becky? And as the first poster said - why only women?

Isn't this a bit of the pot calling the kettle black? How much does the US do to combat climate change?

Also did they fly over here from the US? If so I hope they planted a forest somewhere....

Police say the light for the crosswalk was red at the time

jonswan - the article says that the crosswalk light was read so the pedestrian was Jay walking. I am amazed at the number of pedestrians and cyclists in this country that do not think the lights apply to them. Sadly same goes for drivers - it's a miracle there are not more deaths on the road in this country.

You hit a pedestrian where he/she shouldn't be, panic and car goes where it shouldn't. Not sure how they get him for manslaughter, tragic though it is
