Japanese tour groups continuously taking flash photography - that really annoyed me on my last flight.

Why is this on here - it is undoubtedly another Japanese-English dictionary and not an English-Japanese dictionary.

What's the difference? One is for Japanese people and the other for those learning Japanese. Seiko used to make a basic English-Japanese dictionary but the discontinued it (and it was only really any good for JLPT Level 4)

Do they really think the damage that Bush made in 8 years can really be undone in 10 months - madness!

your PC likely is still the center of your digital universe

FAIL! Have not used a PC at home for over 2 years - only work would force me to do so

If they are the sole supplier - surely they could cut a deal unless they were paying over the top for that status.

The 50,000-seat National Stadium was not built for rugby and organizers had to make some last-minute changes to prepare for Saturday’s match.

Like what - I've been to 4 games there in the past few years so what surprises could they have?

Sadly I can't go today and the wife is trying to set up Wowwow for me as I type

    It's still October!

I really hate the commercialisation of Christmas and nowhere does that better than Japan!

According to an email I received yesterday from JRFU the 7,000 yen tickets are sold out - there are tickets available at 16,000 and 14,000.

I was told on Wednesday by a kiwi in the know that there will be walk-in tickets available at 4,000 but I don't see that in the email.

why is everyone so scared? Chances are that those sites that have a url in non latin have a web site with no English and only local language.

Also it probably makes it easier for local regulators to spot dodgy url's but let's face it I am sure that most dodgy sites are not trapped by their name...

Problem is are the worlds search engines ready?

More important than people leaving is how can these banks recruit to fill any senior positions vacant? Don't see many execs at GS or MS thinking what a great opportunity - I can go get quarter of my package elsewhere!

Put these caps in and you may as well close the banks.

Already happening at RBS in the UK http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/aeb960ee-8317-11de-a24e-00144feabdc0.html

How are your going to turn a bank around if your hands are tied behind your back and you're gagged?

And Klein2 - what are you on? Maybe Japanese banks could cut staff that drastically but I know that most foreign ones could barely get the job done before the cuts in the last few years.

Loved the last paragraph - glad I persevered and got to the end. Honestly, who cares what name the dog has?

(Just in case you are not sure of my meaning in British English calling something a dog is not complimentary!!!!)
